I totally agree with you. I'm from Ijero Ekiti. Herdsmen have lived with us for ages. But some people of Fulani extraction are sponsoring some terrorists to destabilise Nigeria, focussing mainly on middle belt and the entire south. Up till now, there are herdsmen still doing their business in Ekiti who are not harmful. My dad, a popular peasant farmer used to give them water and roasted yam each time they graze past our hut. Their wives would give us fura de ninu too. Those ones are not harmful. In fact, one of their children attended same school with us back in the days. He's now a businessman. Those killer herdsmen have an agenda They're only operating under the guise of herdsmen. It's a strategy. The unarmed herdsmen love the law and are in consonance with it. We still have them around. Just last week, violence broke out in bodija market of Ibadan where fulanis suddenly opened fire at Yoruba butchers without a cogent reason. But the governor downplayed it and called it a mere clash between butchers just same way garba Shehu said plateau clash was between rival political parties, after which we heared that over 10 villages were sacked by the killers , slaughtering people like cows, in which over 200 people lost their lives. In same ogun state you mentioned, the killer herders killed some people recently. Amosun said it's just one person meanwhile, 5 people were killed on their farmland. Go to iseyin in Oyo state, they are still mourning those killed by herdsmen recently, same with Kogi and other states. I have my facts. You may also verify from news archives. Fayose is seen as a bad guy because of his bad mouth. Take it or you leave it. He remains the best governor ever in ekiti. The roads he constructed when he first came are still there till today. They say he's not paying salary meanwhile, APC is withholding our state allocation to score a cheap point during campaigns that fayose is owing us. Fayemi didn't do much when he was governor cos of Tinubu who was always sharing our allocation with us. I'm not PDP, please note. I'm not APC either. I vote based on realities on ground. Unfortunately, many who don't reside in our state don't know the goings-on in ekiti. Fayemi sacked teachers as instructed by Tinubu and asked those left to go on compulsory training at their own expense whereas, fayose came, reabsorbed them and hired professionals to train all of them and he paid for their services and what happened next? Ekiti produced the best result in neco for 2 consecutive years. That's true governance! Now, you expect same teachers to vote for fayem's comeback? Never!
