Jollof rice was imported here to us from Senegal. It is named after their people [Wolof] but you know how names get muddled when passed around hence the one we all know it as.
They still make the best even till this day. Ask any Ghanaian or Nigerian whose gone there and they will confess immediately.

ok but within Nigeria itself which tribe makes the best jollof, or at least which tribe in Nigeria is jollof most associated with even if it origins from elsewhere

He/she is probably a wedding caterer so it dominates the person's dreams from cooking it so much.
