debossng:Oh,nobody gave Fayose a chance in 2014? Are you kidding me? With the army,DSS,police, inec, dasukifunds under Fayose control then and you thought he was going to lose. Even if it was a goat that contested on PDP ticket in 2014,that goat would have won because Jonathan and PDP at the federal level, needed Ekiti state by all means in 2014 to boast their chances of 2015 general election. Even though Fayemi was the governor, he was against the federal government then and he was never going to stand any chance 7 Likes |

powerkey: Mr man face front. We here in Ekiti have always lived peacefully with herdsmen even right from the time of our fathers with no incident. Not until political instigation began. Even now we still live with them even in the fa e of all the stories of herdsmen activities and they have been very peaceful. Is Taraba an APC state? If your answer is no then why are supposed herdsmen causing problems for them there? Some of you just do rinse and repeat without thinking for yourselves 13 Likes |

koboko69:well, you're simply entitled to your opinion. I think the guy is right But let make something clear to you, fayose remains the best governor ever produced by Ekiti people and the facts are there. There's also no grassroot governor who understands his people like him. All the roads constructed by this guy when he first came are still there till today. I was shocked when he said he's not going to senate unlike other governors who would find their way into NA after their term expire. The state facilities constructed are there for people to see as well. I had my primary and secondary education in ekiti . I was born and brought up there so, I can tell you what you don't know about the state. The problem fayemi has is humongous. He's tinubu's boy. He was always consulting with the latter when he was governor and a few contracts awarded were being given to tinubu's appointees from Lagos, instead of giving same to Ekiti people. These guys would come, do a wishy-washy job and share the money. The ido-osi-ifaki road constructed by fayemi is in a sorry state now. It didn't even last 6 months before being eroded away. There's no election in Nigeria that isn't characterised by rigging, pls note. Fayemi and fayose rigged the last governorship elections only that fayose was smarter by working hard in the interior and hard-to reach places to canvass them for votes. Buhari's presidential election was also rigged massively in Kano and borno states, with the votes cast outnumbering the registered voters. Borno was counting millions of votes- a state devastated by boko haram with most of the voters resident in various idp camps. Jonathan election was also rigged massively in the south east and south south. Now, coming back to fayemi and why I feel he'd lose, the majority of those who'd decide today's votes are the teachers. Ekiti invests heavily in education, especially the public schools. Fayemi offended teachers when he was governor. He sacked them and asked those left to go on compulsory training to upgrade themselves and at their own expense. Fayose came, took all of them back and hired professionals to train them and he paid for their services. Now, do you expect same teachers to vote fayemi? He's believed to be coming to complete his agenda, given what elrufai did to kaduna teachers. Fayose is campaigning for his candidate , same way buhari and co came to support fayemi. Bola Tinubu did same when fashola and ambode were vying for same post. It's normal . Farmers are second on the list of majority voters. They know what's happening in Nigeria. They encouraged and supported fayose during their various deliberations before the law was established to check herdsmen. Now, do you expect these farmers to vote fayemi who would only come and repeal the anti open grazing law that has given them relative peace they're now enjoying? The economic mainstay of ekit is agriculture, followed by education. Those farmers are highly educated and over 70 per cent of the indigens are educated so, you can't bribe their conscience with money. They may take your money though. But would satisfy their conscience. That's why they say Ekiti people are strong-headed because their yes is a yes and no, is no. 13 Likes 4 Shares |

Patrioticooduan: well, I just truly like Fayose... he's always available for his ppl, an humble fellow.. unlike others who you would never get to see, touch or even speak with after elections... we all know Nigerian politicians are thieves, nothing to offer us no doubt, but it means something to bring yourself down to your ppl.. and that's one thing I have always admired in him... 4 Likes |

One thing most people are ignorant about is the fact that both parties are using every illegal means to get vote...APC is giving cash..while PDP used the state goverment account to send a sum of 3k to all workers and pensioners in the name of "ESKG ekiti stipends".what people dont realise is that if there is no poverty in the state/land.compromise will not be made but in the presence of palpable hunger..intergrity may not stand |

Akpuoru:Serious? The guy has no option and he doesn't care if he lose. It's Fayose that is pushing the guy all this while. This guy will probably want to congratulate Fayemi at the end but Fayose will not allow that. Admitting the election was OK in his unit doesn't means that he is winning o. 4 Likes |

Patrioticooduan: Good, so waitin come concern Igbo with PDP and APC? We Igbo are the cause of our problems. *2003 we voted Yoruba and Ojukwu lost only won Calabar *2007 we voted fulani man from same local Govt with Buhari (you all know his name) and Ojukwu lost woefully even lost calabar. *2011 we voted for one man who pretended to be IGBO and did not vote for one funny Igbo man from Imo I think *2015 same as 2011. Now I noticed we dont even have a candidate but will vote a Fulani man from Adamawa. Call us dellusional, thats the right word that fits us. |
