ANSMEDIA: I am glad this is a PPP project and the state isn't sinking it's meagre resources desperately needed for other sectors into building the airport. Even if it take 5 years to realize. It is ok as long as the state can still use her own money to do the myriad of development needs of the state apart from airport. Good governance is always about getting your scale of priority right. You will always have more wants than your resources can carry. So you must prioritize how best to use your limited resources. 3 Likes |

bugidon: Hehehehe....lol.... People play the same tricks and monkeys fall for the same bait each time. It is not Only Onitsha -Enugu road that Buhari will finish for you at the tail end of his anti-Igbo draconian regime. Soon, he will pack sand and dump on the edge of River Niger and you will say the same thing for him to build second Niger Bridge. A PPP project he stopped out of sheer hatred for Igbos. Afterall, he didn't have to pay anything for the project. Just allow the contractor finish the project and toll the bridge. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Moreover, I hate any business dealings with Chinese people. Those people doesn't mean well for Africa. They come to deceive, steal and destroy. Africans need to open their eyes, Chinese hate black people 1 million times more than whites. They will bring nothing but destruction to us. |

OMANBALA1: Lol...... and you think it is the Americans or BRITISH that mean well for Africa? The Chinese may be crooked, but in terms of infrastructural delivery, their home government generously set aside funds to facilitate the co-operation of their companies in Africa. The West have zero interest in helping Africa develop. Infact, it is more in their interest for Africa to remain backward and primitive. Part of what delayed Orient Petroleum take-off was the same mindset when they signed partnership with Louisiana based "Shaw Group" to build the Orient refinery. I was one of those that met Nwawka to ask him to consider an Asian company for the project. As usual, he trusted an American company more. The issue isn't with the companies, the laws they have to navigate to invest and ship equipment is enormous. Most times those projects simply collapse due to bureaucratic bottlenecks. Unlike Chinese companies that simply go to China, buy what is required for the project and just ship them to Nigeria. 1 Like |

ChimaAdeoye: The west have zero interest in ANY one else competing with them but it has not stopped Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Japan and China. See how many tariffs are put on Japanese cars yet Toyota broke through to become the biggest car manufacturer in the world. Africans need to stop complaining and get to work. Take education and discipline seriously, stop promoting incompetence, crack down on corruption, be organized. Mostly Africans need to be less parochial, selfish and small minded. Just look at some of the idiots on this thread exchanging abuse over who is from where and other rubbish. 4 Likes 1 Share |
