Calabar was once FCT, yet not as developed as Lagos. Lagos also has its own oil. Lagos was and is still being developed by progressive governors, not federal government, even when it was FCT.

Sentiment won't allow you think straight. 99% of the imported goods come through Lagos with heavy tax.

All the oil companies have their hqtrs in Lagos with heavy tax.

90% of the multi national companies are in Lagos.

Banks etc.

Lagos was FCT from the 30's till 1991 when they moved to Abuja.

We should stand by Nigeria and not the criminals. You might have struggled for your data but Fayose, Buhari got theirs free.

Be wise. Buhari will come and go but our their country is forever.

A 21st century election is like this? Any sane person should be sober ahead of 2019.

When war is declared these guys have nothing to lose but you and I have our lives at stake.

Politics of bitterness and tribalism initiated by Awolowo.
No wonder shagari together with ekwueme defeated him hands-down.
Am not surprised.
Fayemi winning is ekiti people business and none of my business.

It won’t be politics of bitterness anymore once APAC win all the gubernatorial election in the SE come 2019. We can not allow PDP win SW in 2023

Hey why must this always be a PDP/APC thing? THE POINT I'M MAKING IS IF PDP WAS IN THE SAME POSITION AS APC, THEY WOULD DO THE SAME THING!! CAN'T YOU GUYS BE SMART FOR ONCE??
The point you made was that democracy is dead because the PDP lost. Democracy is actually coming alive because the vote buying power of a thieving PDP has being neutralized by the APC therefore the happless opposition will be forced to reinvent themselves, face real issues and most importantly, rid themselves as of touts and criminals that fill their ranks if they’re to ever taste power in Nigeria. Democracy is alive and well in Nigeria. Get that into your head.

God bless you! I wrote about how incredible it was to note that “almighty OAU Ife” awarded Olusola Eleka a PhD and a Professorship.

The Eleka guy is the most timid, incoherent, uninspiring, non-confident candidate of any major political party since 1999.

The few instances spoke on TV since Fayose imposed him on his party, he always appeared like a secondary school dropout! His interviews are always laced with irritably poor grammar, unbelievable errors in the use of simple tenses, lack of gravitas or poise, etc. Even at PDP campaigns, Fayose spoke more than 95% of the instances; Eleka was always seen behind Fayose like a puppet...

Ekiti people have succeeded in preventing a 3rd term for Fayose. Had he won, Fayose would have been running Ekiti State directly from his mansion in Magodo, Lagos!

Fayose and co. equally blackmailed Fayemi with the herdsmen issue.

As demonstrated by the 2015 and the 2018 Ekiti elections, campaign based on hate and fear mongering does not work. It can backfire.

I hope the PDP will learn their lesson.

PDP should learn a big lesson from the Ekiti defeat by distancing themselves from the likes of Fayose, FFK, Adeyanju, Firefire, Lere Olayinka, Ipob, and Omokri who only know about nothing but insult of Buhari, conspiracies, inuendos, lies and fake news from morning till night. APC has failed in all corners of Nigeria and Nigerians are looking for alternatives but won't vote against APC or Buhari if PDP cannot provide credible alternatives between now and March 2019. I'm sorry to say Buhari is going to win in a landslide with Calibre of clowns currently parading themselves as presidential candidates in PDP.

My dear, elections are not conducted on social media. You need money (plenty of it), strategy, boots on the ground, good ground game, brain work and clarity of vision to win elections. It is a game of numbers. It is foolhardy for anyone to think that APC would be thrown away from Aso Rock just 3 years after! Those who think in that way, are politically short-sighted and fatally myopic. I will explain.

APC grew from Lagos. It then expanded and captured most of the southwest states except Ondo. Then it captured Edo and lost Ekiti. Then it captured Imo. Then, Aso Rock. With Aso Rock, it also captured 23 out of 36 States. Recently, it got back Ondo and has added Ekiti today. That means APC is in control of the finances and power of the Federal Government of Nigeria, controls 25 state government and finances! It also controls the Police, EFCC, ICPC, DSS, Army, Navy, Air Force, Civil Defence, NIA, DMI, etc. On the other hand, PDP which used to control the Federal Government and more than 24 States at a time, only has 10 States and nothing more. To make matters worse, the 10 states are being held and run by extremely unpopular gluttonous crooks with itchy fingers. APGA controls 1 state, and is already partnering with APC for cover and protection.

Add to that brew, is a President who has loyal followers and cult-like dedicated supporters - stuff no other politician in our common history has ever got. The outcome is a party that would rule for a pretty long time. By my extrapolation, APC would run this country for at least 20 years unbroken. If the infrastructure revival currently going on across the country gets the necessary continued attention, APC might rule for up to 5 unbroken decades.

PDP would die a natural death after 2019, just as a lot of the regular politicians would be permanently retired either back home, or to Kuje Prison. Mark these words.

Shehu Sani and Hunkuyi have been dropping fakes news in regards to their defection. It has happened 3 times, as at yesterday. I guess that would be the last.

Saraki has been stylishly backpedaling; he was at the Railway event, and just intimated INEC on available senatorial position in the house. I can't believe Buhari survived this. smiley

My nairalander, na so we see am oooo. Another revelation is, Nigeria still has two major political party for presidential election, any form of coalition party, no matter the political heavy weights involved, cannot win presidential election, at least not in 2019!
Now left with APC and PDP, the South-East and South-South votes alone cannot help PDP (That is if their logistics is not decimated as we see in Ekiti now... their only stronghold now is PHC with Gov Woke).
PMB lead APC has the North in his pocket and now Jagaban lead SouthWest will ensure maximum votes from SouthWest.
Nigerians should brace up... the reality is saying 2019 is for PMB
