Change they say is the only thing that is constant in life. This statement is applicable in virtually all spheres of life endeavor and engagement. There is hardly any system or method that remains the same overtime. The systems and methods or method of operation of institutions and organizations varies from time to time; this may be as a result of new wave in the lifestyle of people or new inventions that crop up in human activities. Since the inception of certain institutions like the banking institution, the educational institution, sporting institution, scientific institution etc tremendous transformation has taken place within them. So it is a noticeable thing that both on the surface and within, these institutions are not the way they were some tens of years ago. Though the transformation could be negative or positive depending on its effect on the institution but one undeniable fact is that there’s transformation taking place in them.
Another thing to consider is this; the transformation that takes place in one institution can stir up a transformation in another institution. That is to say an institution can begin a transformation process just because another institution has put in motion a new trending process in their method of operation, and if they do not adjust their ways, definitely they will be left behind in the system of things. This is what is called modernization, or updating the process. The need to update is very vital because no one would like to be left behind or lose its value standard hence the need to join the moving train.

What is obtainable in every other institution is obtainable in the religious institution as well. In the Christian religious institution we have what is called the Catholic institution, and then comes the transformers (Protestants) institutions and we also have the reformers (Pentecostals/Evangelicals) institutions. The emerging of these groups in the Christendom came with its trending pattern that differs slightly or mightily from the old established institutions that have been there before them. It comes with the introduction of new ‘doctrines and patterns’ in the system and such new doctrines and patterns tend to draw away members from one church to another.
So the old traditional way of worship seems not to be appealing to the minds of the young ones and hence in the recent times churches that crop up with the so called modern worship evacuates youths from the traditional churches to theirs. However, the traditional churches are fighting back by amending some of their tight-hold ideologies and losing some ends in order to stay floating in the system. This method is called Retention method.
Most traditional Churches are not holding back at all they have decided to up their ‘games’ by introducing trendy things among themselves. They are now holding crusades, camp meetings, healing and deliverance services, youth musical concerts, vigils, classic bible studies etc. In some traditional churches one finds pastors or priests while delivering their sermons moving around energetically and even speaking in tongues and prophesying. These things use to be forbidden acts in the traditional churches. The amendment in their programs has helped them curtail the mass exodus of their youths to modern churches around.

However, the addendums are just like spices poured upon their traditional ways of worship, and they are not in any way trying to let go their systems. Their system of worship is very unique to them and it is their identity.

All of these are wrong. They deviate from the established way to seek their own entertainment and choice. No wonder churches are now no different from rock n roll concerts. Those people you see in a worship mode in the above pictures are going to go back continuing their sinful ways after the service because they never truly worshipped in truth and in spirit. It was just entertainment which was topped with a feel good sermon.

I remember watching Joel Osteen preach in his 16k capacity Church. The dude started his sermon by first cracking a joke. Imagine how relaxed his congregation will be in anticipation of his sermon which was just some motivational message.

It's all just entertainment.

Mathew 15:8

King James Bible
This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

Your moniker though! This article when I read it from the source (talking-christianity.com) I didnt believe it is for criticism or to judge people and call people names. I just notice the transformation-

The article clearly points out the level of deviation from established ways to pleasure seeking styles.

I have every right to judge and mention names. Failure to mention names is tantamount to being afraid to face persecution. If you want to understand how to use the thou shall not judge line rightly, read the link below.

So, you are with the list of those who truly worship in spirit and in truth Abi? undecided

If you don't agree with someone else's style of worship, it doesn't mean they won't make heaven or they are sinners. After all, God won't judge me by what you feel.

You better change this attitude of yours

There's no denying that it's for criticism.

The depth to which the Christendom has fallen is deplorable. When worship comes on there's no more brokenness, no sincerity, just showoff.

The time for praises is dedicated to a display of the latest ludicrous dance steps. Praises are no longer aimed at glorifying God but to exhibit dancing skills. The choristers do not care if their songs get to the heavens so long as the congregation gyrate to the beats and their singing prowess is lauded.

The preachers; motivational speakers, feeding the carnal man and neglecting the spirit, their flock hunger and thirst for the "Word" but are fed with business ideas. I'm in no way saying that motivational speaking is wrong, it shouldn't be the central message.

Though there are still some churches out there where true service is practiced, where you go on Sunday and get the word that will guide your spirit man and not just your pocket.

So you mean one will make heaven even if he worships God by drinking human blood.

THE BIBLE IS OUR STANDARD AND NOT THE WORLD.

THE WORLD MAY BE CHANGING OR EVOLVING BUT THE WORDS OF GOD CHANGE NOT.

YOUTHS MAY BE LEAVING FOR OTHER CHURCHES WHERE THEY CAN DANCE LIKE THOSE IN THE CLUBS AND BECAUSE THEY HATE HEARING THE TRUTH BEING PREACHED , BUT THAT SHOULD NOT MAKE A CHURCH OR A PASTOR TO CONFORM TO THE STANDARD OF THIS WORLD SYSTEM IN ORDER TO DRAW THEM TO THE CHURCH.

WE MUST PREACH AS THE HOLY SPIRIT LEADS US.

Romans 12:2 KJV
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

2 Timothy 4:3-4 KJV
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
[4] And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Well, I think nobody is going to persecute you. But what do I gain by calling people names does it change anything? However, I didnt think this writeup will go this way you are pushing it!

Sorry, but that's not worshipping God. That's self entertainment.

When you go into a church and

1. The music is meant to entertain you

2. The preaching of the pastor is meant to entertain you

3. The songs are all meant to entertain you

In short everything from beginning to end is directed towards YOU, even the miracles and the testimonies are directed at you,

How then can you say you are worshipping God?

Beware, God is not fooled.

There can be only one true way to worship God. God does not exist or thrive in chaos or disorder.

Your drumming, your dancing, your "speaking in tongues", your going to service on Sunday entertains you more than glorifies God.

Probably the only difference between a church service these days and a regular owambe is that there is some Bible reading.

Otherwise, the pastor can easily be mistaken for an MC who is well versed in comedy lines and motivational speeches.

And the music itself?... Oh la la.. Don't even lemme go there.

No wonder we leave Church on Sunday and by Monday morning we are already empty spiritually.

No wonder the rate of crimes is directly proportional to the number of churches and mosques on our streets.

God help us.
