LOL! You think anyone on nairaland rates Mbappe more than I do? I was the first person to bring Mbappe to the attention of this thread back in 2016.
The comparison with Fekir was a tongue in cheek moment especially when my stance OK Mbappe on this thread is well known.
You said it was well known France will win the world cup last year? Lol

I know a tongue-in-cheek statement when I see one. Dude if u claimed that was a tongue-in-cheek, then maybe the whole post was also, hence u never meant it when u tipped France for the trophy. Dont u think so grin?

i dont think any of us here is technically or tactically oriented like the Champion Dechamp himself .... but he kept playing him till the end ... their is something about Giroud , that you all cant see .

When is our league ever gonna get it right so that we the fans will enjoy some good moves from the their players

Emmanuel Lomotey who played against us as we got pumelled by Ghana at the WAFU cup final has just joined Villarreal first team in the laliga. I wonder where our guys in that tourney are today.

Well if by archived you mean trophies then no comment. But he does set up his teams really well and you can tell he knows what he is doing. Plus he has international experience also coaching Chippa United. He did a great job with Warri but they were always a nearly team. He didn't do too well with Enyimba a couple years back but the team was playing in Port Harcourt then and that can be depressing.

Ok. I see.

Chippa United! Hmmm! As an assistant or main coach?

Is he doing well with Enyimba?

Well, about knowing how to set up his team, I don't know if it's true because I watched Enyimba recently and I saw the usual kick and follow. Maybe I didn't see well.

I don't know why he left Ethiopia. I watched his Ethiopian side make the finals of one of those Cosafa championships playing very good football.

I don't know why people criticized his appointment. Could be out of ignorance or disdain for anything Npfl, probably thinking he was the average Naija local coach.

He even got to the finals. I will like to see his team.

I think they thought he doesn't have UEFA coaching license. I also thought like that too.

Those ones are butty DM. I don't think they are better than him.

The way we treated Victor Anichebe does not encourage any foreign player to play for Nigeria.

Imagine a guy that got injured on duty for us was neglected to treat himself and at the same time ignored. Nonsense NFF and useless Nigerian coaches everywhere. It is so annoying.

Anyway, good to know we have a upcoming Nigerian coach in UK.

I think they said so before or immediately after he was appointed manager of the U20 team.

Yes he is yoruba. They mis-spelt the name(Adeola) during a registration in his youth team and it stuck ever since. Remember the case of Mikel (Michael).

His real name is Adeola.

Lol we must claim every successful player. No be only Nigerian root even branch grin

I don't know. But it looks like Nigerian name.

Our journalist should make investigation. He seems he is going to Roma this season.

I don't fancy those Arsenal's DMF players. They need steel and machine in the midfield if they want to succeed this season with their very superb attack line.

I think it's time NFF start beaming their search lights... We need a sound INDIGENOUS coach not necessarily local(i.e handling a local team) coach as back up for Rohr.

The coach should be drafted in as assistant coach or coach (since Rohr is the technical advisor) as the case may be. This will help ease out transition when ROHR'S current contract expires.

We need someone who will feel the pain when we loose, someone who understands our football culture and most importantly someone who will deliver results by using the right tools at his disposal.

I won't mind where the person comes from as long as he is a Nigerian and tickes those boxes he has my support!

Foreign coaches are good but some times they are not what Africans need to move forward. All World Cup winners were coached by their very own.

We just need the right person at the helms. A coach who will not allow bribery, nepotism and tribalism to becloud his judgments while carrying out his assignments.

I would have suggested Oliseh as replacement for Salisu but I don't think he ll be humble enough to be under Rohr.

Amuneke, Saskia, Garba Manu etc won't be bad choice. They will be given a blue print to work with...
