I noticed there are two Black American V.Os now, I wonder if the second black lady is as rootless as the usual one. I don't know if she has always been around there though. #LagosConsulate |

My Visa was approved on thursday july 12 at Abuja embassy. I got there 8am and was interviewed around 11.30am. I'm a medical doctor working with a popular Governmental security agency. I wore my wedding ring for the first time in almost 2 years VO: welcome to the United States of America. Me: thank you sir. Good morning sir. VO: Good morning. VO: pass me your passport and I-20 Me: I did VO: do you have any passport which you've used to travel. Me: no VO: you are going to East Tennessee State University Me: yes sir. VO: what are you going there to do Me: I'm going there to obtain a master's degree in public health VO: You are a medical doctor Me: yes sir VO: You work with the Nigeria bleep bleep. Me: yes sir. I just smiled cos I know say matter don finish. VO: who is paying for your studies Me: my uncle and I have some personal savings. VO: what does your uncle do Me: he is a businessman. He imports cars and electronics. VO: do you have proof that he is going to sponsor you. Me: yes sir and I gave him my uncle's SOA. I also have my SOA with me.(but he wasn't interested in my SOA.) VO: this funds will be okay for the first year who will pay for the second year Me: my uncle VO: where did you obtain your medical degree. Me: bleep VO: who paid for your medical degree. Me: my parents. As a sharp guy I quickly added uncle. VO: I'm going to confirm this SOA you will receive a 10 years ban if it's fake.( he said it on 3 occasions) Me: no problem. It's genuine. VO: he gave me a white paper and 2 small slips and told me to enjoy my stay at ETSU. Me: and I said thanks. Wishing those yet to have their interview a positive outcome. Try to have a decent profile and package everything very well. Please don't go there with an SOA less than your estimated cost of attendance. A guy interviewed before went with an SOA of 3m. The white woman at window 6 did the mathematics for him and gave him a denial. My status still shows passport is still with the US embassy but I'm sure that God has done this one. Once again thanks to everyone that has contributed positively on this thread. 25 Likes 3 Shares |

Francolisa65: I'm sorry but this is absolute nonsense. Why post your transcript when you know you have personal stuffs which you deem not necessary for others. Is it by force to post your interview transcript? If everyone stated "told him" as their responses, do you think this thread would still be active till date. Now, tell me who your cryptic transcript helped. Nonsense 21 Likes |

Good evening all, I am new here and would really love guidance . I concluded my US visa interview on the 11th of July. I was denied the visa. I got admitted into West Texas A & M university, Texas for Masters in Business Administration for fall 2018. The purpose of my travel is to upgrade my profile and to get practical business knowledge to return home and manage the plantation my family is setting up as a retirement planning for my parents. I had travelled to Dubai in December 2013 with family in my final year. I have not been able to travel after then because nysc and the jobs i took afterwards. On refusing me the visa, the consular officer said, 'no enough proof of ties to home country' . I intend applying again but i don't know how to resolve this ties to home country thing. some agents advised that i defer the admission and travel to 2 countries minimum , restructure my profile before applying. will this aid in resolving the issue?? please advise. ... 1 Like 1 Share |

precyrich68: Travel history is different from home ties. If you decides to travel, you must have good reasons why you did so. If they perceived that the travel is needless and only a means to coy them that you have travelled to other countries particularly as this is coming after denial; the VOs are intelligent. We have seen people without travel history granted Visa. Home ties varies from country to country, home ties could be a good job back home, personal properties at home, all your family residing in your home country, your wife and children, being engaged etc. So travelling might not solve the problem. You can also boost your profile applying to Tier I institutions, write standardised exam and secure funding which make them not look much into you not having home ties. This is just an opinion, I could be wrong. 1 Like 1 Share |

NefT:I believe you are in good shape but I am just skeptical about that printed SOA. However, at this point there is nothing you can do about that now. Explain same way you explained here and hopefully there won't be any problem. Also be ready for why your uncle is sponsoring you and try to emphasize that you will come back to Nigeria to work in the industry/take up a lecturing job 3 Likes 1 Share |
