Ekiti Election: PDP Sets Up Legal Committee by 13Ebiscoo: 10:53am On Jul 17, 2018
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Monday constituted a legal committee to look into all the legal issues surrounding the conduct of the Ekiti governorship election.

This is part of its preparation to challenge the results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, disclosed this while speaking with journalists in Abuja.

In his words, “PDP as a party has constituted a legal committee to look into all the legal angles to the issues surrounding the Ekiti governorship election with a view to institute appropriate legal actions.

“We want to assure our members that we have nothing to fear with the circumstances that happened in Ekiti state, and to let them know that the we have taken a decision to go the length of all judicial processes in the electoral situation in the state.

“The entire nation is standing with the PDP. We believe that Nigerians know the truth of what happened. Nigerians know that votes were bought in Ekiti state. Nigerians are aware that there was humiliation of our party members. We are aware that there was brutalization of our party members.

“Nigerians are also aware that this government led by the ruling APC, having failed woefully has no capacity to stand for a true election anywhere in this nation. And that is why they have colluded with security agencies and INEC and even within their party, APC, to make sure that they rig us out of Ekiti.

“But we have not seen the end of it. Like we said earlier on, this political banditry will not stand, at all.

“We, therefore, ask our teeming members to remain resolute as there is nothing to panic about. It is just a temporary setback. But we assure our members that the political brigandage will never stand”.

when fayemi lost, he was magnanimous enough to concede defeat inspite of open intimidation and full deployment of federal might in the Ekiti Governorship Election of 2014. well it's Eleka's legal right to seek redress at the electoral tribunal, it's time for lawyers to chop and chop money.

Sure, let lawyers chop that is what it means by inclusive economic opportunities. Or you want lawyers to remain in eternal recession?

I love this!

They lawyers should first
1. Request the voters register for INEC
2. Number of Accredited voters in each polling station
3. Number of votes cast in each polling unit
4. Number of valid votes vs rejected votes in each polling unit
5. The final results INEC announced and get forensic expert to check the ballot papers
6. Note the alterations made in result sheets

Those that believe they will merely forge numbers in Abuja and announce themselves as winners should get ready for expose! grin grin grin grin grin

Now they reverberate with thunderous fulmination against monetary inducement in the electoral process. Who has the monopoly of Roma locuta est causa finita est in Nigerian Political and by extension, electoral behaviour? I stand to be corrected, PDP is only on a vacuous peregrination of vulcanizing some people's pockets. On the long run, it has its own economic advantage as it reaches to the hoi polloi, the ragtag and the bobtail. If indeed, there was a live coverage depicting where and how money was being doled by the APC during the process, how do they also substantiate the evidences before them that extricates us from the obfuscation of how they wasted the resources of the state before and even during elections? To make it worse, the man, sequel to his inebriation, resorted to further plundering of the state's scarce resources by transferring 3k to pensioners who were hitherto not paid for about one year. How more asinine and barmy would he have demonstrated his exasperating olympian devilness? It was only a matter of who knows how to deploy what better, which was an opportunistic tendency as was leveraged upon by the cry cry baby himself in 2014. Revenge is an act of passion while vengeance is an act of justice. Injuries are avenged, crimes are revenged.

A few weeks time they would say in the interest of peace and for the purpose of strengthening our democracy, PDP would no longer be pursuing the issue of Ekiti election.

Effort in futility... grin

Now i am beginning to realise why Fayose and goons are fighting frantically to discredit d just concluded Ekiti polls...He is trying to remain relevant in the PDP...who respects a loser anyways? Someone who even declared his Presidential ambition o... grin

After bragging that he would deliver the entire SW to PDP... and he still could't manage to deliver his own LG...it's obvious he's fighting the fight of his life...his political relevance might just go under d water if he loses dis lost battle.

Best of luck to him and his bingo at d tribunal and the various courts...but he should know that the wives of Peter Odili and Wike won't be able to win him back Ekiti, if that is his plan.

Bros,

Unfortunately all this peddling of fake news will do you no good.

This is Inec official video of INEC's declaration of the result and Channel reportage on the declaration - https://www.channelstv.com/2018/07/15/inec-announces-ekiti-governorship-election-results-full-list/

Where did you get this your printed result from, no INEC endorsement on it and you want us to believe this is what you will present as evidence? Keep deluding yourself.

please say what u know, seems ur in another planet to say he was magnanimous enough to accept defeat, so how come fayose won him in supreme court, is it another different case? because someone conceding defeat won't challenge the outcome in court.
