That's why I don't mind Shaw leaving to force Mourinho into buying another LB to give Young competition. If Young or Shaw are not sold, my dreams of seeing a new LB is dead. Shaw doesn't look fit and serious to overtake Young, I don't mind him gone if it will force Mourinho to get us another LB.

If I'm made the coach of United for a week (enough time to sell and replace or go for a target), I'll terminate Young's contract and wish him well, then keep Shaw and get a new LB like you suggested. I don't even need to put a strenuous exercise on my brain cells looking for a replacement. I'll go for Draxlat of Uruguay straight away. He's young, very strong and competitive. Above all, he's LEFT-FOOTED to whip in crosses not like Young that have to cut the ball back and cross with his right foot because he's not left-footed, killing the momentum of the play in the process.
