If they back off you and your useless government will beg them one way or the other. See as you they even talk like their them(back off).
AmiciLord:
US should back off and they should mind their business.
If we as adults cannot do what is right then let us pay for our mistakes. Nigeria is already a mistake and a failed nation. I don't see it getting better again.

Ekiti should remember not to cry or whine about their future suffering.

This is the same Fayemi who wasn't paying salaries in 2015, who they have now brought back to show them pepper in 2018.

People who ignore history are not only foolish, they're doomed to repeat it.

They let themselves be bought for nothing. Then they cry about corruption when they themselves are inherently corrupt to their rotten core.
Let's wait for the zombies to come to say they are Igbos. Nigeria is heading backwards. Let's figt it instead of supporting political parties. Most of those zombies can't boast of financial freedom.

The parties involved and the masses that were induced financially

I begin to wonder if the masses that complains a lot about our politicians of not doing much on infrastructure, health, education and other social amenities received cash of less than $50 dollars to sell there state for 4 years

We aren’t all serious about the betterment of our country

When poverty is the order of the day, people can even sell their own family members.

There's too much hunger in the land that many people have lost their sanity

Trading off votes for money and harassing opposition for forceful imposition of leaders. This is not true demoracy in the eyes of international observers.

So what exactly do you want us to do?

I pity the people we have in this nation. When the observers in Ekiti and their House of Representative said the election is not free and fair, you all were abusing them but when this post mentioned USA you people changed your tune which is bad. It is not until US voice out our problem before we know we must fight. Most of you will always continue to lick US's ass.

Your ignorance is amazing,
Who told you that citizen vote decided the election?
Since when did citizens vote to elect credible candidates and their votes were considered?
Buhari has gotten rid of Fayose, how he did it should be obvious to you and the people of the state.

The worst type of government a country can get is the type of government we have today. This government could lead this country to serious social problem worse than corruption if not removed on time.

This trend of voters snapping ballot and showing it to party officials to receive cash is completely new.

Fayemi was not governor in 2015, Fayose was.

And to counter it, Fayemi left governance owning just one month and the month of the handover (which had not ended yet) while no civil servant in Ekiti has been paid salary for any month in 2018 by Governor Fayose
Shut up. speak out against the irregularities

Shey Nigeria dey send observers to monitor US election ni? Must US monitor us? Dont we have our senses to know that we are not supposed to collect money to vote?

US talked dan GEJ to step dan for PMB. US remain one of the biggest problems in the world. They cause mess everywhere they go. In fact this na morning I no want to waste my time to enlighten you on some things you don't know. We can do this later after work.

You are correct.

What you left out was Fayose couldn't pay the workers because the APC federal government was withholding over N12 billion owed to Ekiti state for construction and road rehabilitation works. Instead of the federal government to release these funds; Fayemi colluded with the commissioner of Finance (Dapo Kolawole) to block the federal refund through court procedures.

This court action is what has helped up the funds and made it impossible for Fayose to pay the workers.

So pray tell, how can this same Fayemi come and pretend to be Ekiti savior when he is the cause of their problems?

This is the wickedness of Nigeria. These politicians make problems of their own hands and hold the solution until they get what they want. Then they parade themselves as martyrs, saviors who have done well for the people when all they have done is brought unnecessary hardship and suffering.
absolute wickedness

Mynd44:

Even as at when the bailouts were payed, the state government was owing. What are you talking of?

How can the FG refund the Ekiti state government for a bridge? Is the bridge a federal bridge?

It belongs to the state and the FG has no business with it. It is not on a federal road and so why is he expecting payback according to you?

I also hope you know that the Fayose administration has gotten more money from the FG than Fayemi's administration.

Oh, the money Fayose is crying that he wants back was not for roads constructed by his government but by Fayemi's government which GEJ's admin did not payback. If you want to debate it, please show me the projects he built, the FG roads he fixed that the funds should be refunded

So please, how does this owing 7-month salary make sense to you?

If I don't know of any other federal road he built or repaired, I know of itawure-efon-aramoko road. You also need to be updated too that the major federal road that was built with state money which has not been relayed fully is ado-ifaki dual carriage that was almost completed by Segun oni but fayemi was was lucky to be in power when an installment of it was paid.
Let me also set you straight on the statement you made about Fayose receiving more money than fayemi. Ekiti's subvention from the federal govt during fayemi's administration was 3.5billion monthly while Fayose gets only 1.5 billion due to fall in oil price.
I also need to remind you that during fayemi's time the excess crude account was shared on several occasion while such never happened under Fayose.
Fayemi also got the state indebted till 2030 during his tenure and didn't leave as little as 10 m in all the state government 's 400 plus bank accounts.
Ekiti state has since been servicing the debt he left behind from source even before the allocation gets to the state.

Where do you people spin these false stories from?

Fayose has gotten 2 bail outs, 2 Paris loan refund and is still not able to pay salaries.
The bridge he built in Fajuyi which has no traffic is worth 14 billion (?) Is that not enough to pay 3-4 month salaries?

Fayose's inability to pay salaries is the fault of the state government

Hahaha...so he didnt pay salaries since 2015.... mynd, you mind o o to lie this kind lie. We all forgot how he had to see adeosun personally on why funds werent released. Something that was front on nairaland

Its on record that fayemi stopped paying salaries immediately he lost elections the first time.
It was Fayose that later paid August and September 2014 salaries when he was sworn in.
