Even though I am being delusional by having this thoughts, I just hope [Aigbogun is trynna use these men to secure qualification, then use the right players(bulk of which are European based) at the proper event as the qualification falls outside the fifa window and clubs wont be releasing their players.

Your last sentence is my concern. how many clubs will release their players for under 20 African qualify? How many...

He just need to do with what he (Paul) having at his disposal at this moment If a player tell you certain age with verification will you still doubt him that he's lying? and Start digging him up and down cos of age...

When there are many players looking for such golden opportunities and alot of things the technical crews are involve we just need to give benefit of doubt...

Cos we can't kmow true age of people with just mere looking in this Africa land

Ofoegbu Chikeluba i think joined Hapoel Tel Aviv...Yellow team

Watched Porto friendly yesterday...Mikel Agu came in at a time.. did not see Awaziem play...i wonder which match owngoalnigeria reporter watched, saying that Awaziem played.

Porto is not in the same level with Galatasaray though it's a big club.

Awaziem is not in Porto first team, he is in Porto 2.

I hope Mikel Agu breaks into the first team this season, abeg. He is a very good player.

Example Wasiu Alalade that claims to be 18 is closer to 30, if not already in his 30s. Same with Adeshina Gata.

Kai ma na! So bad if true. Of what use his 30 years old boy?

But how did you get to know?

I saw a couple of minutes of the Mamelodi Sundowns game against a club side in Lome, I wept for Nigeria. The quality of the playing turf was about the same standard I saw at the world cup. I can't understand how a municipal stadium in Lome can boast of a better playing surface than the Nigerian national stadium.

The playing surface I saw actually gave credence to what someone who took a team to Togo narrated. The guy said at half time, when his boys were about going to the changing room, sprinklers emerged from the middle of the pitch watering the grass. His boys were so amazed that they couldn't concentrate on his team talk, because they have never seen such a thing in their lifes.
I find it amazing up till now, we still cannot figure out how to grow ordinary grass. Smh
Abeg no kill me with laughter.

Allocated money for maintenance is diverted.

I once worked for a government parastatal and You would be surprised how money is inflated and diverted. Not at the top level of management, even the lower levels are diverting money. That is why nothing ever get done properly.

Nice one. As I pointed out earlier, the playing turf is a big part of football development. You can not train a team to play good football on bad playing pitches. That is why we resort to overage players in our local league with atrocious long balls.

With better pitches, coaches can take risks with playing good balls and selecting young players who can fit the system and running good play requires. It will also aid in appeal and people turning out to watch the game.

Without good pitches, it will be difficult to produce decent ball playing midfielders and strikers.
This is one of the bane of Nigerian football.
Also, playing on wet natural grass has a way of speeding up the ball thereby improving the general quality of a football match.
Playing on dry surface makes the game slow and boring, which is what you get in the NFL.

I wish we could start a proper youth league. It should be done by zones to avoid traveling problems common in the NPFL. Infact to avoid home /away games cheating and save costs, the matches could be held in one zonal location.

Winner of each zone meet for a play-off in Abuja or Uyo.

Age screening should be done thoroughly with first school leaving certificate, MRI tests and they must be in sec school at least.

If we do this, we will be able to get truly young players to feed the league and national teams..

Sponsorship would be needed but it is very achievable. I would prefer to watch these games than NPFL games.

SCORENigeria can exclusively report that Kano Pillars have approved for NPFL hotshot Junior Lokosa to undergo a routine medical at Norwegian club SK Brann with a view to finalising a transfer.

SCORENigeria scooped that Lokosa, who has netted 19 goals this season, was released in a letter signed by Pillars chairman Tukur Babangida.

The letter was dated July 15, 2018.

The striker, whose goals have already earned him a Super Eagles cap against DR Congo, will be away from July 22 to 30.

A move to Bulgarian club PFC Ludogorets only recently fell through.

Lokosa scored twice as Kano Pillars thrashed NNL side Gidano in a friendly ahead of the resumption

Well I read thus last year

Arsenal Super Kid Bola Clarifies : I Am Not Eligible To Play For Nigeria

Arsenal superkid Marc Bola has clarified that he is not eligible to represent the Nigerian national teams, but can turn out for the Democratic Republic of Congo sides.

The left wing-back shares the same surname as England U18 star of Nigerian parentage Tolaji Bola, which led to the mix-up regarding his international eligibility.

''Marc Bola is not a Nigerian, he was born in London and can play for the England youth teams or the Democratic Republic of Congo,'' a top source close to the defender told allnigeriasoccer.com .

Marc Bola, 19, is being monitored by the Congolese Association Football Federation (FECOFA) and was called up to their U18 squad for a training camp in Birmingham two years ago but withdrew from the team as a result of injury.

Arsenal recently loaned out the defender to Bristol Rovers for the entirety of the 2017-2018 season.

As long as it is a straight away transfer without trials we are happy. He can do like the Ghanaian you were talking about. Norway is better than 3rd division Spain.

We need to have a proper youth league that feeds the NPFL. That is the only way to ensure that young talents are integrated into the league.
