Fesomu:..plz tell me how this administration influenced this plant... the credit should go to OBJ instead. he set the ball rolling. it's same tin as if for example some one set up a new car assembly plant in this administration, u would now credit buhari cuz it happened in his govt. instead of the group that drew the plan and hatched it... |

Seems like Sokoto has more than enough limestones. We now have at least two major cement producers in d state, Sokoto cement and BUA cement |

We hope this new plant will help with job creation and help to make cement prices more competitive. Good job by federal government. We need more investors like this. 1 Like 1 Share |

Jethrolite: .....and how else do you expect "this administration to help"? Use gun to force the price to N1,000? |

400billionman: Cement price is not government regulated. Osinbajo cannot do anything to lower Cement price neither did GEJ do anything to lower Cement price. We want lower prices, we either boost production and distribution capabilities - have more producers, be a net exporter, have cost reduction in the value chain of cement production - Power & logistics for starters etc |
Re: Osinbajo Inaugurates BUA Kalabaina Cement Plant (Photos) by mapet: 3:36pm On Jul 19, 2018 |
thewesternking: both. At the rate at which infrastructural development will go on in Nigeria for the next 25yrs+, Cement prices will not come down IMO. We probably need about 3 additional large scale producers to achieve affordable pricing. |

mapet:can you tell osinbajo to his face that he cannot influence cement price? Bros abeg government has been influencing cement price ever since.Like NCC cannot influence the price of data and making calls |

mapet:No, it is just a threat but it will make them sit up. Cement companies in Nigeria are operating at super normal profit at the detriment of the market. |

It's pathetic that a lot of Nigerians are leaving for Canada and elsewhere. Until we all bond together to build this country for ourselves, it will be left crawling. The Canada they are running to was built by her citizens. We much build ours from scratch! Ehiscotch: |

Jethrolite: Trust me......It's not that simple. If you look at the landing cost it's probably same of same. Even if relatively lower...demand for Cement far outweighs supply currently, so it's still the seller's market |
Re: Osinbajo Inaugurates BUA Kalabaina Cement Plant (Photos) by Belluchii: 12:16pm On Jul 20, 2018 |
it is a good thing that the government has commission of a new cement plant which on full utilization will provide at least 2,000 direct and 10,000 indirect job opportunities, I also appreciate the fact that the vice president has called on BUA Group to collaborate with other major cement manufacturers and reduction in cement price to drive infrastructure development in the country. This is actually a big step for the cement industry and the nation’s economy. |
