Hello House, I got my Redmi Note 5 from Jumia today but I must tell you that it's not 5 note pro. The phone is note 5 AI dual camera. I've been following the reviews of the phones on gsmarena.com before I bought them. Both 5AI and 5 Pro have the same thing (only my few different) from look, chipset, same battery capacity etc. The difference are in camera, 5AI has dual camera has note 5 Pro has but 5AI has AI features (whatever that is, you can get it through Google as we are not in class) also 5AI has 13mp front camera with AI features as well but 5 Pro come with 20mp super selfie though apertures are different. From what I've seen on gsmarena.com, 5AI has quick charge 3.0 while note 5 Pro has quick charge 2.0 (though you'll have to get your adapter yourself to get these). If what I'm posted is what you've been buying has 5 note pro kindly let me know. 2 Likes

SirLanko1: We have said it on here over and over again, what you will get in this part of the world is redmi note 5 (AI). Nobody here has the redmi note 5 pro except they got theirs from India as that is the only region it is meant for. 1 Like 1 Share |

stinville: Yes if you update through OTA . You can avoid the factory reset by downloading the full rom and flashing manually. Your best bet is to read the changelog before deciding to update or waiting for about 3 weeks while reading feedbacks from those who have updated |

Another thing is that note 5 AI run Android 8 Oreo while 5 Pro runs Android 7 Nougat though I heard pro can also be updated. If you check gsmarena and compare the two, just click differences you'll see that it seems 5AI dual is better. As for me, I need two things now, the guy wey help me cut my sim wanted to forcefully sell screen guard for me but I know say my people get Tempered glass for here. I beg I wan buy. Number 2, 360 degree case, the soft case wey follow this thing come no fit hold am if my children throw way this phone. I beg help my ministries, I get pikins for house wey always drag phone with us. Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by GrandMufti: 10:48pm On Jul 19, 2018 |
SirLanko1: No... use your phone like Dat first... but if you notice battery drain, then you might need to update and reset. A new user complained about the battery until she had to factory reset. Though her rom version might be different from yours. |

Nemie: Go to settings /installed apps/ updater. Then clear all data. Reboot. Download this rom if you are on global rom http://bigota.d.miui.com/V9.6.2.0.NEGMIFD/miui_HM5PlusGlobal_V9.6.2.0.NEGMIFD_215b4ae3f2_7.1.zip Use this to backup https://www.nairaland.com/post/56382450 Use this to update https://www.nairaland.com/post/61225422 Backup is just precautionary, you can skip it. Use a download manager like adm pro to download the rom and save a copy for future use. Your data should be turned on when you are updating 3 Likes 2 Shares |
