I can't see Mi store on my phone, anybody with apk link?
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by 4llerbuntu(m): 2:43pm On Jul 20, 2018
This entire anti roll back saga has me shook.

Basically Xiaomi has ruined the entire update/custom rom scene.

Best believe this is not a great time to be advising people to flash this or that. Cos if the phone hard brick penren, issolova. It will take a lot of luck to get it back up.

And that's coming from a person for whom tinkering is 2nd nature.

Anyways, it's time to invest in a deep flash cable sef.

Lol. LMFAO. Interesting to be techsplained.

Meanwhile, FYI your entire post is actually horseshit.

The ARB is a firmware feature. You can easily move to the affected rom versions sef, as long as you don't upgrade the firmware.

You CAN flash whatever MIUI rom you want provided you DO NOT FLASH THE FIRMWARE to the ARB affected one

If you delete the firmware folder in the rom and edit the update script, you can flash it.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi's ARB implementation is wrong. There's a good reason why you don't hear complaints from other OEM users . Even on Pixels you can downgrade.

Xiaomi's flashtool currently won't downgrade the firmware even in EDL mode.

The above and a lot more, is why it isn't the best idea to advice noobs to flash their xiaomi phones at this time.

The reason you can move to custom ROMs is because they usually don't include the firmware folder in them....

I know exactly why I made that post, my friend and it's not for the benefit of folks like you that know how to flash a zip.

Short and abridged version of ARB thingy for noobs... If u are on oreo based miui rom don't think of downgrading to a nougat based one so as to be on a safer side...
Simple
The warning is mostly directly at redmi note 5 pro users (cauz dia device was launched with nougat), for now d ARB is not implemented on vince (redmi 5 plus)..
