BACKGROUND: We have just learnt that Justine McClure is NOT THE FATHER of sensational Youtube twins, Alexis and Ava, the adorable kids who went viral on social media. There has been a rumour about the revelation, but their mum, a proud Nigerian Aminata has taken to her youtube channel to confirm the truth.

In a recent video where the couple were trying to deal with the aftermath a recent racist row of Justine’s old tweets which surfaced on Twitter the past last week and got people talking.

THE ISSUE
The racist tweets posted by Justin Mcclure has set off a firestorm on social media, particularly American social media. Although Justin made the tweets it is his Nigerian wife, Aminata, who is receiving the most backlash. Aminata who has defended her husband also came under fire when she claimed that she does not identify with African Americans as she is Nigerian and has a "culture". This further fanned the flames putting some of her most loyal African American supporters off.

"NIGERIAN SWIRLING BEDWENCH"
In the African American community a black woman who is romantically involved with a white man is known as a "bedwench" (traitor for sex). There is historical context to this as many African women during the slave trade if not forcefully raped did have intercourse with slave owners/overseers for many reasons including certain privileges to attempting to eventually obtain their freedom. In 2018 the term is widely used to refer to any black woman who dates a white man as a form of public scorn or shame. Recently since the Mcclure fiasco happened and it's been confirmed that Mrs. Mcclure is indeed Nigerian, the "bedwench" label has not only been thrown at her but Nigerian women as a whole.

On a popular social media site, youtube, several anti Nigerian "swirler" videos can be found dubbing Aminata as being not only a traitor but specifically a "Nigerian bedwench". Madam if i may join in. It seems that there was initial blacklash but since the tweets are years old they went away. For some reason they are resurfacing.
