Pls, wat could be the cause(s) of my car's hesitation in moving forward (or inability to load ) on Drive gear after reversing out of my compound every morning, until I pull the gear fully backward to (1). After dis the moves then I push upward to d drive gear before the hesitation stops

Secondly, after d morning encounter, the ride performs well throughout the day, except that it also finds difficulty in climbing a relatively high hill.

The gear mecho told me its a gear pump problem, this I've fixed, but no changes at all.

Pls do help me out

open the car bonnet and check the dipstick of the gear ATF if it isn't guage, top it up

if the gear oil is blackish and you perceive a burnt smell wahala dey but you can still salavge the situation and see if you can correct the anomaly.

jacking the car up front and wedging the rear, start draining the ATF once you drain 2L put the gear in drive or 1 (without depressing accelerator) then start pouring fresh ATF until the colour coming out from the sump area is clean pinkish colour. Bolt back everything, guage as needed and test the gear.

I hope your gear isn't CVT, you can also scan the gear and retrieve error codes that can tell whether the gear is write off or it can be repaired by a gear expert not anyhow mechanic

As Nurey rightly said: Check the level of ur ATF. Start the car and put in neutral on a level ground and check. If the oil is guaged, You may need to run a scan of the transmission, You may have faulty Solenoids. If so, buy a new valve body and top oil.

If you scan and see incomplete ratio 1,2, or 3. Just park the vehicle and save for a new gearbox. Dont listen to any kazeem that tells you he can replace the burnt clutches. It would hardly last and the labour cost and stress would almost equal buying a new gear. So just replace and have peace wink
