Deji Adeyanju has shared the pathetic story of why over 100 soldiers were killed by Boko Haram in Bama ad Jilli attacks.According to him, most of the soldiers were not adequately remunerated despite the army promising them a mouth watering pay. Many of them were also first timers and had not receive adequate training.Below is what he wrote....

'Most of the soldiers and officers killed by Boko Haram in Bama and Jilli attacks were moved from 9 Brigade, Ikeja, Lagos, 81 Div & other locations. Most of the soldiers were promised mouth watering cash between 100-150k extra aside salaries and daily allowances.

They pay them only 30k allowances which is not even consistent. The Generals loot all the billions. The number of soldiers killed is way above 100. They are still discovering many dead bodies and so many are still Missing in Action.

Funny thing is that many of the soldiers were first timers to this fight and had not received any major training since joining the Army except for the mandatory Counter Terrorist course in Katangora upon graduation from depot or NDA.

For instance, the former Garrison Commander of Ikeja cantonment was among those drafted for this exercise. He is still Missing in Action just like several senior officers. No one has contacted their families.

The only way family members know their sibling are dead is when their friends in the field contact them and send them pictures of dead body of their sons.

Many of the families have tried to contact the COAS asking for the dead bodies of their siblings with no luck They've refused to contact the N.O.K. From luring soldiers & officers to push BH to the fringes according to the NA to denying the deaths of our soldiers, a new reality.

Aside threatening soldiers in the field not to give information out, Buratai led Army has not only failed our nation but the soldiers that died serving.

I hereby volunteer myself for arrest by Buratai. If you have any info about our over 100 soldiers killed, contact me'

It wil never be well with Dasuki and everyone that spent the $2.1 billion dollars that was set aside to equip these soldiers but that was shared among the evil corrupt people for the election that they still lost.
The blood of the dead will surely cry on EVERY politician both dead and alive, in whatever political party they belong to.

Dasuki hardly had anything to do with it. You need to understand that boko haram is a conspiracy and how deep it is

Nobody can promise a Soldier 150k cash aside their basic salary

The Fear of Al-Barnawi/Mamman Nur faction of Bokoharam is the beginning of Wisdom.

Buhari should sack all service chiefs. They are all intentionally delaying this war due to the financial dealings involved in this war.

May God continue to save us all here in Borno

So billions of money is worth more than hundreds of lives lost every week?
What happened to over 3 trillions recovered from looters?
was that not how he was saving money before IBB toppled his govt and built third mainland bridge in Lagos and projects in other locations.

With this, we can see you have some very good points.
This is the kind of sensible and mature conversation we love having here.
The President has earmarked some monies for the army in recent times, and we hope we start seeing the positive result about it all, starting with the arrest of the evil people causing havoc with all these killings going on in the country.
No amount of money is worth one soul for real.

Why would they Govt subject our soldiers to such condition, that they appear weak before "the technically" defeated Book Haram. Buhari is responsible if he still refuses to change the service chiefs. Even if he finally changes them how are we sure he would not replace them with the same kind?

Idiotic Muhammadu Buhari has been president for 3years 2months now, how much im don spend on procurement of arms & ammunition? Do you know that idiotic Muhammadu Buhari spent billions of dollars on procurement of ammunition with nothing to show for it? The said $2.1bn propaganda doesn't exist anywhere and that has been proved times without numbers.

Well, am nor surprised with the nonsense you wrote up there because Buhari is daft & his mumu supporters has the same brain as Muhammad Buhari

Nigerian youths dying daily in the name of joining the army. Nigerian army is no more than boys brigade seeing the way they are consistently being mauled and killed in the hands of boko haram terrorists. Anyone conscripting into the nigerian army today certainly has a death wish.

Nigeria is NOT worth dying for. If you join Nigeria army as a junior korofo, you're an idiot.

As a Nigerian solider, you are sent ill-trained and ill-equipped to die in Northern Nigeria, while the big stomach generals steal billions meant for salary and welfare of the soldiers and enjoy it in Abuja and Dubai.

Tukur Buratai, the army chief has a house in Dubai and a mansion in Abuja. But you are sent to sambisa forest in Borno without salary to die. Rubbish!

The junior officers in the Nigerian military should go on mutiny. They should ambush all senior officers and generals and kill all of them!

The same government capable of watching the other way while Fulani herdsmen kill christians is capable of selectively sending untrained youth soldiers from the south and send them in harms way without full equipment

Buhari is a traitor !

Oga.... please what has been happening to the billions of dollars that has been released to fight Boko Haram since PMB came to power? How do you come about the $2.1billion you claimed Dansuki embezzled? Most of the equipments our military are presently fighting with were bought by GEJ government. Why is the government afraid of open trial for Dansuki? We should not believe everything we read in the news paper. The fact is that PMB has also failed in the area of insecurity. Infact more Nigerians has been killed under him. The last government was incompetent that is why we voted GEJ out but if we must tell ourselves the bitter truth....PMB is a disappointment!

lipsrsealed Nigerian soldiers are zombies. When you see them crush peaceful protests of unarmed civilians you think they have it rosy.
One of the major reasons for the docile nature of the Nigerian populace is because of fear if our security forces particularly the military.
When civilains protest on the streets against the effect of misrule and mismangement by the elite, this same mumu military would be the ones to crush the protests as if they are not affected by the ills of corrupt leadership all in the name of service to the nation whereas service to the thieving elites who would use them and dump them even when they are affected by this same misrule and its negative effects.
These military personnel act as if they were not born bloody civilians and would not retire as bloody civilians that’s if they don’t die in active service.
Can we have a people’s revolution like the one in Tunisia where the army stood by the people and the thieving dictator ran away into exile to Saudi Arabia as the could not longer use the security against the popular demands of the people.
If u are in the military use your head and dont let gun and uniform shack you. Imagine the peanuts you earn yet thise useless politicians who creates most of these mess if conflicts here and there would want to send the military who constantly puts his life on the line while the looters earn billions, go abroad for medicals, vacation and education of their wards. When you retire in your old age go several screening and verification exercise to collect peanut pension and gratuities while they have pension for life after they leave office. Nigerian military una mumu never do instead of flexing muscles and your guns on on politicians you turn it on unarmed civilians who are victims just like you of corrupt leadership.
