From my findings across the internet; the Mi8 is rated slightly higher than the mix 2s due to battery performance, AMOLED display, IR face unlock, and front facing camera. But I personally will prefer Mix 2S over the Mi8 because of the number of LTE bands supported, wireless charging while the front camera position is annoying.

I have been confused as to which to upgrade to between Mi8 and Mix 2S from my present MI6.

Hmmm, I hope your confusion has been reduced now. If you ask me, the notch alone in the Mi8 is a personal turn off. Go with what Fibonacci said.

Don't see myself advising anyone to get any Ulefone device. They are far from being a finished product IMO, especially in the software department.

Do both. The earpiece port is really cheap, and should in case the Bluetooth earpiece arrives earlier than the port, you won't miss your favourite jams
