I asked my account manager for my "Treasury bills certificate" and was told told it would be issued next week. Is this investment proof the same as the Treasury bills certificate? Did you request it from your bank or they just sent it to you? Also was it with GTB you did your tbs with?

Thanks in anticipation of reply.

tbills certificate is d same as proof of investment ..it is always available 2-3 days after u have been credited wit ur upfront interest from tbills investment.. first bank though, not sure abt other banks ..

yes its d same
I asked my account officer few days after d transaction but he told me dat its not yet available. 3 or 4 weeks later I went there and i was given d certificate.
U must always collect it as a proof of ur investment which shows d % of interest and maturity date.........
It's GTB

please I have some few questions:
1) If I want to terminate my Tbills must it be in the same branch where I bought it or I can walk into any branch to get it done.
2) secondly I want to know how much am going to loose, I did 100,000 for 181 days @ 7.75 percent. the value date was on 18th of may and the maturity date is 15th November, so far I have held it for two months and some days.

You can go to any branch with your letter of termination.
You will lose reasonable amount of the money. But mind you, if checked very well, it is more or less part of your interest that you lose.

Shalom.

I went to first bank on Friday last week for Secondary Tbills, the rates were fluctuating, before I could book it disappears for more than 3times. They later offered me 10.4% for 181 days. I said no because I saw better offers earlier, the staff asked me to come this morning by 10.am for a good rate.

I got 11.1% for 255days today. Exactly the number of days I was looking for .

I think one can get good rates on Monday mornings.
They also had 206days for 11% and 360days 11%

I am not after the rate, just doing it as a way to avoid spending the money, thanks for contributing. I think I will leave it till it matures and look for another means to solve my problem.

bro ..u were robbed of ur interest ..u shud have at least gotten 10.5% interest on ur investment at any tenure.. I still doubt d bank invested ur cash in tbills though ..7.75% is very very low bro ..u have been cheated.

I don't think that 7.75% is for the 181 days. I think he meant 7.75% for one year so the rate is lower when it is for 181 days. But if he meant the full 7.75% for 181 days, then abegiii that one na BankRobbery Bills o angry angry

House, can one see their tbills history online? Like tbills you've done and when they mature. I use GT Bank

Do you have your internet banking login details ?
If yes ,proceed to www.gtbank.com to log in .select the account and You will fine it on your page.
If you don’t have the details . You can request for it … I think you can only do that at any of their branch, in person.

The App looks promising. Although I always feel safer doing things offline. I know Stanbic owns the App but I still feel safer doing tbs with a bank I belong to, as opposed to an app which do not need to have a bank account with

Eg if your money goes fiam while you're using the App, there might not be a way to verify you actually made the payment. I guess my point exactly is that there are lower risks doing it via your bank directly
