This is what we need in this country. Everyone should follow due process.

If the police invited you why so you have to go on social media to make inciting comments which could trigger civil unrest.

The people you are trying to incite were not there nor were they consulted when you gave vehicles and empowered those armed robbers but suddenly you now want to Involve them now that they have been caught and fingered you as one of their political backers.

You may be Innocent regarding their armed robbery charges but why go ahead and try to incite the populace and cause unrest?

Our legislatures are not above the law and it does not matter if saraki is the number 3 man in Nigeria too.

What should bother everyone should be WHY SHOULD THE NUMBER 3 MAN IN THE NATION BE A POLITICAL BACKER TO MEN WHO EVENTUALLY TURNED OUT TO BE ARMED ROBBERS?

That is the crux of the matter and it shows how rotten everything and everyone is at the top and some of you youths would still want to kill yourselves over such people.

Perhaps if your relatives were among the 31 or so killed in cold blood in that robbery attack you would not be sitting where you are, being angry with the IGP.

The police have a job to do and this is one of those times I will give them accolades for going after big wigs in the society whose names ha e been directly linked to questionable actions from questionable people.

Quote me and receive spiritual assault.

When Buhari hired many SANS just to defend his WAEC certificate instead of presenting one who was lying ? Why didn't police go after him? Cos his actions was questionable.

The thing is whoever that pays the piper dictates the tune. An innocent person can be made to look guilty and locked up. Stop defending politicians

This shows you both don't read to comprehend. Didn't you read where the reporter stated saraki was on his way to honour the invitation served by the police?

Why block the entrance of the Deputy senator president too?

Be logical.

BUHARI is very dull.
His fight against saraki was and remains his undoing
he's finding it difficult to function well in a democratic setting.

Saraki was arrested this morning, to prevent his defection to PDP with a lot of senators, automatically making them the majority.. The plan was to pass a vote of no confidence on Buhari and Hence, impeach him, but the plan got to Buhari, who now ordered his arrest this morning..

Nigeria is ruled by a dictator. BEWARE!
Nigeria has always been ruled by dictators; OBJ did this several times, GEJ did this to Tambuwal, Yaradua's presidency was so short so only he does not have a record of this. This is the type of democratic politics Nigeria is still known for unfortunately.

Buhari or not, PDP or APC staged drama, the question is, in an ideal society, is the like of Saraka fit to be walking around as a freeman not to talk of being the president of the senate?

I am not a fan of Buhari and his APC govt, but the truth is we should stop hating on Buhari and linking everything that happens to 2019 elections, 31 people were killed in Offa and the suspects pointed at the SENATE President as their sponsor and you guys are saying BUhari this, Buhari that? We really dont know what we want in this country aswear!

Were you there when the suspect pointed fingers or it is based on what you were told? Don't forget before that incident, igp was already at loggerhead with saraki.. So anything is possible.

Security agents on Tuesday, barricaded the residences of the presiding officers of the Senate.

Our correspondent learnt that security operatives besieged the Maitama, Abuja residence of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki as early as 7am and blocked his convoy as he was set to honour the police invitation.at the force headquarters.

Simultaneously, a combined team of Police, DSS, and EFCC also stormed the Apo Legislative Quarters of the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, who is expected to preside at the Senate in the absence of Saraki.

The Special Adviser to the deputy senate president, Uche Anichukwu, confirmed the development in a chat with our correspondent.

He said, “The Operatives from the DSS, EFCC and some policemen in their scores have barricaded the residence of Senator Ekweremadu at his Apo legislative quarters.

“He is preparing to preside over the Senate in the absence of the Senate President who has been invited by the police.”
An aide of the Senate President who refused to be quoted said, “The siege is still on as of 8:30am when I got there and I can not even confirm the whereabouts of my boss at the moment. ”

“The implication of both actions is that the Senate will not sit today if the two presiding officers were not still deprived of their freedom of movement or arrested before plenary which starts at 9am.

The idea of politicians deflecting to an opposition party after possessing all the parties secret and agenda is undemocratic and an act of betrayal to the public trust. How can a senate leader in a ruling party or government be contemplating such movement. I listened to Minister. Raji Fashola on Arise News strictly defending the position of the government even beyond his own office. Loyalty is missing in our party politics and that is taking nigeria to nowhere. Likes of the senate leader with so much allegations of corruption and malpractices from the moment he assumed office is a signal to Nigerians that we need to thoroughly check background of our politicians before handing power to them. It is also expected of our house of senate to have legislate anti corruption law by now.

Wrong!

Even your comment gave you your answer. It followed due process and went before the four of law did it not?

You said buhari hired lawyers right? Why did he not use the same police intimidation to silence his accusers as you think he is doing with saraki here?

The issue here that I see is that the police has been empowered like never before to do their job without impediment and follow due process without the interference of the executive arm of government.

If you are seeing something else then go get a new set of eyes

Security agencies are reportedly laying siege on the homes of Senate President Bukola Saraki and Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu in Abuja.

Mr Saraki was summoned to appear at police department for further investigation into alleged killings in Kwara State at 8:00 a.m. today. It remained unclear why the police blocked his residence at dawn.

Mr Ekweremadu had no prior police invitation.

Bleep off my mention

Your claim and story which you eagerly and aggressively narrated is badly concluded, therefore, disconnected.
Go over and read your passionate report by yourself and consider your conclusion, then judge yourself.
Can you maintain a single line of thought or can just be swayed by anything like a drunken sailor?
