Seriously most times, the major issue of battery draining on Xiaomi after updates can be solved by Factory Reset.

If this doesn't work then it's either you prepare to be downgraded or hopefully wait for the next update to solve your drain issues.

And if u look closely too, u will see that it is just the excess space wen screen nor cover for Max 2 dey just fill up with screen why the size was increased, and also drop the camera to horizontal from vertical, just little modification i will say

As for the purpose of the Max series which is multimedia without your battery betraying you, the Max and Max 2 are indeed living up to expectation, but the Max 3 just made the experience even better. I know of friends who wished the camera in their Max 2 was better, they'll definitely see this as a huge upgrade, others who love hardcore gaming will also be happy with the Max 3.
