Has Amunike come out to deny allegations levied against him?

Well they both agreed that it was about the player but I don't see Amunike beating up the agent because of money we have too many touts in naija for that. It had to be something brought out of passion so I am leaning towards Amunike trying to protect the player in his own way.

This is the type of football development we need...not taking youth players to mafia controlled leagues like Latvia,Albania,Azerbidjan,Moldova,Belarus etc

No, it's more like talking about grooming someone to eventually take over from Rohr. And I would insist that someone's first coaching experience should not be with the full national team. They ought to cut their teeth with either club sides and/or the cadet teams as the head coach first. The keyword being: as the head coach.

Samson Siasia has done that, neither Mutiu or Finidi has. Hence, if either one of them has something to offer, let's see it at the cadet levels or at the club levels.

O pari

edi287:

He has his coaching badges like Finidi and the rest. So what's the issue??
We are talking about someone assisting Rohr - Oya tell us who you'd like to replace Salisu??

KPOM! I totally agree with doing away with the tainted gang. However, which national coach isn't tainted? It's really difficult not to be tainted when the NFF doesn't pay them their salaries on time. Man must wack grin

O pari

Out of respect for the dead, let me not go into Keshi's case.

Oliseh gave all his brother's players access to the national team.

We need a fresh head not tainted by corruption.

Why did Liverpool send him on loan to Gent? Is it not to play in the Europa league in order to get work permit to play in EPL?

Monaco would have been better step.

Who he wan bench for Monaco ?

Jovetic ? Falcao ? Keita blade ?

Abeg gent is a nice option and he is sure of a starting shirt there

Not to make any excuses for them, but the temptation to engage in shady business becomes more prevalent when we don't pay these coaches their salaries.

Oga Salisu singlehandly ran the CHAN team. We all know that and many of us have always questioned his selection.. where did you get this one from. If U want to be vindicated stick to the report. Nobody ever denied that our indigenous coaches have not been corrupt at one time or the other.

You have no idea how Rohr hot his job in the first place.

That's why you can make the assumption you make.

Maybe when you get older or begin to engage with some of these people von higher places in the context of Nigeria.

You will understand the framework of corruption.

Lol... Executive kickback alleged by Glen hoddle comes to mind.. grin

Imoh Ezekiel has signed with KV Kortjik but has yet to join the Belgian club due to visa hassles
Imoh Ezekiel is still waiting for an entry visa to Belgium but he has already signed a contract with KV Kortjik, according to the chairman of the club.

Chairman Joseph Allijns disclosed the U23 forward is still stranded in Nigeria waiting for his visa to be issued, but he has already signed the contract papers to play for his third Belgian club.

“He has signed his contract and his work permit is in order, but we are still waiting for his visa,” said the Kortjik boss.

“Imoh is currently in Nigeria and still hoping to get his visa, but I do not think he will be able to play against Anderlecht on Saturday.”

Imoh Ezekiel, who has played for Standard Liege and Anderlecht, is a free agent after he was released by Spanish club UD Las Palm

Exactly!!!

safarigirl:
The video in which Salisu was collecting bribe was in relation to CHAN, was it not?

Please, does anyone have any video of Rohr collect8ng bribe for the World Cup? If your brother is caught stealing, does that make you a thief?

I don't know the narrative some people are now trying to spin that somebody said something and was harassed. The somebody is now here shouting about World Cup selections as if Salisu was caught collecting bribe to field Idowu.

Please, let us not use the sin of one cow to burn an entire herd. Be guided in your words and accusations.

Just a couple days ago I went for my PVC registration. You wouldn’t imagine that the INEC officials connived with the primary school gateman to collect money from people so they would be registered ahead of others. My brother, it’s terrible.

Modified
But let me not leave us without telling the full story. One of the officials complained that they have not been paid their salaries for months, arguing that they are also humans.

And for those of us who consider the Bible our Scripture for guidance, the good book says we should do our work like we are working for God and not man. That says it all

Corruption has eaten so deep into the system. People claim to be religious but commit terrible acts of corruption. It is not just the political leadership, it goes down to the lowest strata in society. In fact, the person who tries to do the right thing is seen as an enemy of progress.

People will then go to their places of worship to do thanksgiving for stolen wealth.

Nigeria are still in with a chance when it comes to the international future of England U21 international Ademola Lookman who is currently on the books of English Premier League outfit Everton.

Lookman asked for more time when Nigeria approached him prior to the World Cup, and the forward was also busy with issues surrounding his club future which saw him move to Germany on loan in the concluding part of last season.

Back at Everton after completing the loan at RB Leipzig, although he is still linked with a return to the German side on a permanent deal, Nigeria have been given some ray of hope in their quest to beat England to his international future.

” Nothing is cast in stone yet. Lookman has Nigerian heritage and playing for them is an option. He has hidden it although he is proud of his present spot as an U20 international for England”, a source close to his family told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” I don’t think Nigeria have contacted him yet since they last did before the World Cup but if they do, they maybe stand a better chance now that when they first contacted him. Let’s wait and see”, he concluded.

Salisu's unscrupulous action has further tainted our image on the international scene and has set us back in term of football progress...

His action will not only affect him but the whole of Nigeria Football... From the Players to the Coaches, the referees and administrators too are not exempted from this backlash.

The trust we are fighting to build with both CAF and FIFA has been dealt a huge blow now.

This is very painful.
