No, it's more like talking about grooming someone to eventually take over from Rohr. And I would insist that someone's first coaching experience should not be with the full national team. They ought to cut their teeth with either club sides and/or the cadet teams as the head coach first. The keyword being: as the head coach.

Samson Siasia has done that, neither Mutiu or Finidi has. Hence, if either one of them has something to offer, let's see it at the cadet levels or at the club levels.

O pari

My point is Siasia only cut it at cadet level. Didn't do well with Heartland.
Salisu and that U20 coach did well with club sides but if I asked you who is better out of the 3, you'd pick Siasia no doubt.
Learning as an assistant from Rohr can be too bad for them. In as much as I want Finidi to coach the U17 or U20s, If there's an opportunity to be one of Rohr's assistants he should take it.

Norwegian Premier League club SK Brann have not thrown in the towel in their pursuit of former Manchester United starlet Tosin Kehinde.

Super Eagles striker Junior Lokosa and Kehinde were scheduled to start trials with SK Brann this week, but the midfielder has not yet traveled to Scandinavia unlike his compatriot.

The 20-year-old is currently unemployed after choosing not to extend his contract with Manchester United after the club failed to guarantee him first-team opportunities in the new season.

''There was something about his visa, which meant he could not travel now. That's not the way we have left the case. It is up to date that he is coming, but it is hard to say anything now,'' Brann sports manager Rune Soltvedt told BT.no.

Kehinde's camp continue to deny that he will train with SK Brann with a view to being offered a contract, so allnigeriasoccer.com contacted a Norwegian football expert to provide his view on whether or not the player will be tested.

''No Norwegian Premier League club will sign Kehinde until he is tested, if they want him so much, they will look for a way to bring him to Norway but he must pass the trials when he gets there,'' he told allnigeriasoccer.com.

''If Junior Lokosa, who was named in Nigeria's provisional World Cup roster, is undergoing trials, who is Kehinde?''

Though there are unconfirmed reports linking Kehinde to bigger clubs, SK Brann are hoping that he will come to Norway later this week, probably on Thursday.

My guesses for the 2 players are Gabriel and Eneji. They came out of nowhere to make the WAFU team and they both started the CHAN finals against Morocco.

It's incredulous that Elderson Echiejile is still a Monaco player.

its on paper that the aforementioned clubs were after henry's signature before everton snapped him up. everton had the better developmental plan and pay package that was why the lad moved joined them.

Oga say what you know.

Efe Ambrose, Elderson Echiejile and Ikechukwu Ezenwa were also part of that team.

At a point in time all 4 were in the Super Eagles.

You want to talk of John Obu? You know how many of his boys have featured for the Super Eagles?

Kenneth Omeruo, Ahmed Musa, Wilfred Ndidi, Ogenyi Onazi, Olanrewaju Kayode, Kingsley Madu, Ramon Azeez, Abdulahi Shehu, Usman Mohammed, Simon Moses, Emem Uduok, Uche Nwofor, Aminu Umar among others. 6 of the listed are core members of the current Super Eagles! With Kayode not included. 5 of them also featured at the 2014 WC.

Some of these coaches have done well for us. We don't need to throw trash at them because of this incidence.

My take is the NFF disciplinery committee should investigate the matter and deal decisively with Salisu if found guilty of what is being accused of. We appoint a new coach and move on.

Actually, He was bought from a very good club in Portugal. He even got to the Europa league finals with the team.

Monaco must have considered the fact that he has played in both Ligue 1 and Portuguese liga.

Catch up on the performance of Nigerian players and their teams in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, July 24.

Three Nigerians featured for Danish side Midtjylland in their 2-1 loss on the road against Astana.

Paul Onuachu and summer signing Ayo Okosun started at Astana Arena. The former Dream Team VI striker went the distance while Okosun was replaced by Onyeka Frank on 68 minutes.

Elsewhere, Malmo number 20, Innocent Bonke, was an unused substitute in his side's 1-0 victory against Romanian side CFR Cluj at Stadionul Dr. Constantin Rădulescu.

Over to the Stadion Maksimir (Zagreb), Israeli champions Hapoel Beer Sheva have a mountain to climb in the return leg following their embarrassing 5-0 loss to Dinamo.

Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu put in a full shift for the Camels and he was later joined on the pitch by Anthony Nwakaeme in the 54th minute.

In Greece, Switzerland youth international Noah Okafor was not in Basel's 18 against PAOK. The Super League side beat their visitors 2-1.

Finally in the Polish capital, Marvin Egho started and played 90 minutes for his Slovakian club in their impressive 2-0 win at Legia Warsaw. The striker was substituted in injury time.

Like I said - it was a charity event for a good cause. I don't think he told Erdogan "hey let's take a pic so we'll piss the German Government off".
It's not like the other contestants at the elections were there and he chose to take a pic with Erdogan instead
He doesn't have to come out and make a press release for the world to know which side he stands on. That picture said a thousand words.
By the way, I bothered to read through Oezil's multi paged essay and to be honest, it was full of crap.
In one breath, he identified himself as a German Turk, in another paragraph, he was crying for being called a German Turkey, calling it racism. In another paragraph, he called out the DFB for not respecting his Turkish origin.
Very disjointed essay to be honest

I thought it was well written essay.

Racists in the western world try to tap on your heritage to say you are not truly European or American. So whilst, he is proud of his heritage, he is not less German than the others. These things are not binary, there is a bit of nuance involved.

I think he played a fast one on the liberalists, who just love it whenever the word racism is mentioned.
He has always identified with Turkey. He even had an opportunity represent Turkey but he chose Germany for the commercial advantage, obviously.
In the essay, he alleged racism and discrimination being called a German Turk then another paragraph, he said that his Turkish roots was not respected and at the beginning he said his roots was of both German and Turkish. What a paradox.
His case is not even helped with Erdogan's solidarity message.
He could loose even more followers and sponsors.

That's not how I saw it. The dude feels he's simply demonized for having Turkish roots and identifying with it.
Like he rightly said when things go wrong, no one criticizes the likes of Podolski and question if dual nationality is a good idea.
To these right wing nuts, dual nationality is a problem ONLY when being Turkish is involved.
He sees himself as a German with Turkish roots. Right winged morons used the guy as a tool for political propaganda and I agree with telling them to go Bleep themselves.

Nigeria are still in with a chance when it comes to the international future of England U21 international Ademola Lookman who is currently on the books of English Premier League outfit Everton.

Lookman asked for more time when Nigeria approached him prior to the World Cup, and the forward was also busy with issues surrounding his club future which saw him move to Germany on loan in the concluding part of last season.

Back at Everton after completing the loan at RB Leipzig, although he is still linked with a return to the German side on a permanent deal, Nigeria have been given some ray of hope in their quest to beat England to his international future.

” Nothing is cast in stone yet. Lookman has Nigerian heritage and playing for them is an option. He has hidden it although he is proud of his present spot as an U20 international for England”, a source close to his family told Owngoalnigeria.com.

DONT MISS ==> Chidera "Nigerian Iniesta" Ejike In Spain For Final Assessment Ahead Signing Of Professional Contract With Valerenga
” I don’t think Nigeria have contacted him yet since they last did before the World Cup but if they do, they maybe stand a better chance now that when they first contacted him. Let’s wait and see”, he concluded.

See oo.. Nigeria already approached him.. later people like Komekn and forgiveness will be shouting that they asked him for bribe..

Luckily he didn't give us the Tammy Abraham treatment... Let's extend an invitation to him for the afcon qualifier

Following the release of a video of Nigeria football coach Salisu Yusuf receiving cash to invite players for the AFCON qualifiers more revelations are coming out as to the depth of corruption in Nigerian football

The decadence seems to have eaten deep into the fabric of Nigerian football via local coaches especially within the youth teams

A close and respected source close to Soccer Assembly has revealed that the coaches of one of the Junior teams has also been to collecting money from agents to play their players ahead of more competent players

The Coaches have been inexplicably leaving a more established player on the bench with the excuse that since he already has a club the others who don’t have should play ahead of him

These coaches have been promised percentages should the young lads get contracts while turning out for Nigeria

According to our source a sports ministry official attached to the team who pleaded anonymity reported the ongoings to the parents of the player who was being marginalized in favor of those whose agents were paying

The NFF pulled out all stops to ensure the player affected turned out for Nigeria and occurrences like this could cause the player to reconsider his options as the player who is with the team currently in an ongoing tournament is being frustrated by the coaches

The players parents are expressly disappointed painting a scenario similar to how French Superstar Kylian Mbappes dad complained about the Cameroonian football federation asking him for money making his son decide to play instead for France

The matter has been reported to the hierarchy of the NFF and they have promised to get to the bottom of it

Soccer Assembly will continue to investigate the matter to dig up evidence which would expose these corrupt coaches
