Guys, i want to join the Xiaomi band after my horrific experience with Infinix Hot 3. I hate a phone that lags so i dont want anything mediatek, plus 2g ram is the new min.

My Jumia search narrowed it down to Redmi 5 vs Mi 5. They are not it the same league.

I like the Mi 5 better but for 3 things, 2016 phone, small size 5.15 screen and the unpopular usb c type. All phones i compared it to at same price range falls behind it.

Redmi 5 battery and camera is not up to expectation though price is affordable.

Please advice.

Most people make the mistake when they hear screen size and mistake it for the size of the glass on the screen.

The size of the glass area is usually given in dimension of Length, Breadth and width but when you hear screen size, it is actually the area of the screen that captures lights/images.

screen size is = Total glass area - Bezel area

In view of this lay man explanation, you can have a phone with screen size of 5.5 inch and physically bigger than a phone with screen size of 5.99.

If you are concerned about the physical size of the phone you want to buy, request for the dimension information and not screen size.
