The under 15 team. There have been reports that Lateef Omidiji has been left on the bench for other than footballing reason.
ANS guy said he's coming out with a scoop from the U15. I can't wait.
The only thing is he'll prattle about how he was condemned about his Moses Simon story and all.

The gist is that coaches are being paid to play certain players at the expense of others. For instance, the top scorer, Devine Nwachukwu and Omidiji have started from the bench. Their introduction in the first game saved Nigeria's blushes but nothing changed in the second game.

So we are benching better players for those that settled. That is the gist anyway.

I won't be surprised if it's true. Maybe we should just go for FB everything (coaches) because a few of us can be trusted haha. We are useless.

Pretty straight forward. Pinnick needs to do the needful.
Don't give the likes of Giwa an excuse. Salisu should be sacked by the end of the week

Is it the same Amunuke that makes player sign for his academy before he selects them? If he takes over, he would continue the culture..Corruption and greediness is in African blood!!! Only few would stand their ground against the corrupt practises in our systems..

If that is true how come Victor Osimhen who he put up in his house did not sign for his academy?

Following the release of a video of Nigeria football coach Salisu Yusuf receiving cash to invite players for the AFCON qualifiers more revelations are coming out as to the depth of corruption in Nigerian football

The decadence seems to have eaten deep into the fabric of Nigerian football via local coaches especially within the youth teams

A close and respected source close to Soccer Assembly has revealed that the coaches of one of the Junior teams has also been to collecting money from agents to play their players ahead of more competent players

The Coaches have been inexplicably leaving a more established player on the bench with the excuse that since he already has a club the others who don’t have should play ahead of him

These coaches have been promised percentages should the young lads get contracts while turning out for Nigeria

According to our source a sports ministry official attached to the team who pleaded anonymity reported the ongoings to the parents of the player who was being marginalized in favor of those whose agents were paying

The NFF pulled out all stops to ensure the player affected turned out for Nigeria and occurrences like this could cause the player to reconsider his options as the player who is with the team currently in an ongoing tournament is being frustrated by the coaches

The players parents are expressly disappointed painting a scenario similar to how French Superstar Kylian Mbappes dad complained about the Cameroonian football federation asking him for money making his son decide to play instead for France

The matter has been reported to the hierarchy of the NFF and they have promised to get to the bottom of it

Soccer Assembly will continue to investigate the matter to dig up evidence which would expose these corrupt coaches

I know who the player is. Omidiji

Catch up on the performance of Nigerian players and their teams in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, July 24.

Three Nigerians featured for Danish side Midtjylland in their 2-1 loss on the road against Astana.

Paul Onuachu and summer signing Ayo Okosun started at Astana Arena. The former Dream Team VI striker went the distance while Okosun was replaced by Onyeka Frank on 68 minutes.

Elsewhere, Malmo number 20, Innocent Bonke, was an unused substitute in his side's 1-0 victory against Romanian side CFR Cluj at Stadionul Dr. Constantin Rădulescu.

Over to the Stadion Maksimir (Zagreb), Israeli champions Hapoel Beer Sheva have a mountain to climb in the return leg following their embarrassing 5-0 loss to Dinamo.

Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu put in a full shift for the Camels and he was later joined on the pitch by Anthony Nwakaeme in the 54th minute.

In Greece, Switzerland youth international Noah Okafor was not in Basel's 18 against PAOK. The Super League side beat their visitors 2-1.

Finally in the Polish capital, Marvin Egho
started and played 90 minutes for his Slovakian club in their impressive 2-0 win at Legia Warsaw. The striker was substituted in injury time.

Marvin Egho is an Austrian-Nigerian. I heard he is very good. He made Slovakia league team of the season. He could move to a good club next season if he does well this season.

This league is where Simon Moses, Samuel Kalu, Kingsley Madu, Rabiu Ibrahim and now Harry Gong used as stepping stones to better clubs or leagues. Watching out for him.

Why Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo Will Be Better Served Elsewhere Than Anfield
The life of a footballer is a fickle proposition. Things change so swiftly and leave one with the best or worst, particularly for youngsters in the round-leather game.

One minute, you could have the world at your feet, the next could find you an afterthought.

But for true talent, that is hardly the case. That brings us directly to Liverpool's Nigerian starlet, Sheyi Ojo who is striving to make plausible inroads with the Premier League club as they continue to fine tune in pre-season games for the start of a new season.

If you have keenly watched the trickster play, you will easily be bowled over by his blinding, almost audacious style of football. But bear in mind, he had come a long way.

The then England U-20 boy wonder captivated the English scouts with his irrepressible style of play, leaping and bounding through the turfs of Milton Keynes Dons and by virtue of his hard work, he became the first Dons trainee to receive an international cap at youth level during his time with them.

At 21 now, he has verily come of age and while those inestimable talents of his have not waned a bit, getting regular first team football under his belt is the prerequisite for a prodigious player as he is to continue to blossom. After all, there is really no crime in being young.

Such spells like the one with promoted Fulham last term where he made 22 league outings (18 starts) with a respectable return of four goals and two assists was a career curve ball, a necessary lesson for a blooming potential but as a new season draws nigh, it is time to think again.

It is no hidden secret that he is well thought of by The Reds manager, Jurgen Klopp who has continued to include him in his plans during the course of the ongoing pre-season activities but the fact is that their first team is glaringly spoilt for choice in picking an attacking line at the moment.

While all of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have, by the extent of their solid performances, established themselves as first choices, Daniel Sturridge, Dominic Solanke, Divrock Origi and Danny Ings, seemingly regarded as the team's second pick bunch are well placed above him in the pecking order.

Liverpool has yet gone about investing in their firepower as Xherdan Shaqiri has arrived from Stoke City this transfer window to add up to the number of those jostling for attacking spots upfront — there in precisely lies the nub of the story.

If Ojo decides to evade his possible suitors who are already circling around with the hope of staying and fighting for a place in this team, that is a bold move but in a realist sense, might not seem the best.

Championship clubs, Reading and Middlesbrough have already been talked up in the past few days as possible destinations and these sides which do have brilliant footballing cultures will not look out of place for a young player like he is to continue his development.

What does it take for a Nation like us that claims to be sooo morally righteous to actually follow what they preach?? Millions will go to church to listen to the Pastor preach about loving one another yet are as tribalistic as they come.
I think the only thing religion has done is to curb the animalistic instincts in this country a LITTLE

I think you are the only one who does not understand an essay that awaken what dual nationality players goes through worldwide, dude said he’s not a politician, he’s just a sports man and was not there to endorse the Turkish president policies. It was charity function they attended together, by the way, didn’t you see ikay with him there too? They equally took the same picture with man. You have been sounding like the right wings with your analysis of this issue, even German Turks are with Ozil on this matter, they have openly shown solidarity with him, if you hate ozil this much just say it out and stop hanging about him recognizing his root and taking a picture with the president of Turkey as reason why he should take a fall for a poor World Cup outing
Brilliant submission

honestly, goldfish is just sounding like a hater, I didn't find one reasonable thing he said in that unmerited attack in ozil's person. To say that write-up regarding his struggle to be accepted by a country he has sweat for is a 'disjointed essay' is just wrong and disrespectful.

Many people across the world and even in Nigeria are going through what Ozil speaks of, no need to shitt on their plight because you have issues with Ozil undecided

Omo, the Olympics team is NOT cadet level. At age 23 most soccer players are close to their peak coupled with the fact that each country is allowed 3 overage players as well. To me, any coach who gets a result at the Olympic level has what it takes to make it at the World Cup levels as well. So score one for Siasia, right there grin

O pari

edi287:

My point is Siasia only cut it at cadet level. Didn't do well with Heartland.
Salisu and that U20 coach did well with club sides but if I asked you who is better out of the 3, you'd pick Siasia no doubt.
Learning as an assistant from Rohr can be too bad for them. In as much as I want Finidi to coach the U17 or U20s, If there's an opportunity to be one of Rohr's assistants he should take it.
