Anybody who schools in Nigeria and does well in school and his career is a hero.
The system has been rigged to place as many stumbling blocks in your path as possible, all engineered to make you fail.

I went to Unilag which had a relatively humane system and lecturers but still wasn't ideal. I had friends that schooled in OAU, LAUTECH, UI, Uniben, Madonna e.t.c and they had 1001 tales of sorrow.

If it is just harsh school authorites i will advise that you soldier on and complete your study, but if they are playing Ludo with students' future and delaying your graduation unduly it might be a better idea to find your way out.

I cannot explain what I passed through during my MSc program year and external defence. Even as an academic staff of the school then, those old white haired professors almost frustrated me. If we were 10 that started in my faculty, only 2 finished.
