dru23: The day your mechanic knows you are using your car for uber or taxify businesss... that is the day you have entered into an unsigned partnership agreement with you mechanic. He would never do predictive/preventive maintenance on your vehicle, even when he should advice, he just plays dumb, waiting for the massive damage to be done, so that he can continue the unsigned partnership agreement. Never tell you mechanic that you are using your car for uber services... they actually assume you take home N100k net a week and you expect them to be satisfied with just payment for servicing your car. 2 Likes |

Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by IWealthCreator: 12:43pm On Jul 26, 2018 |
Hello House, I think it is unfair for Taxify to subject lite and comfort users to the same bonus or reward scheme. We know that 99.5% of riders are price sensitive, some would not mind waiting 2hours for a taxify lite instead of boarding a taxify comfort that is 2 mins away! Taxify lite drivers get more riders so get the bonuses, it seems like double punishment for comfort drivers, less riders and minimal chance of getting taxify bonus reward. I hope taxify would address this anomaly. 2 Likes |

IWealthCreator: The mechanic I use officially is pretty good. I met him personally few months ago ..he is highly educated young man . So I don't have issues with him .. And also on my part I make I use full synethic USA spec Mobil 1 oil on my cars .. This will help reduce stories that touch... and also the elantra engine is a very strong engine, just make sure u take care of it ..everything like bushings, linkages, shocks, ball joint etc are easy things that a mechanic can diagnosis... But once a the engine starts messing up ...it will now be a mechanic's play ground.. I don't care how good a mechanic is ,once they start messing with the engine, the engine will never be the same .. Uber partners need to use the rite engine oil on their cars... And also I pray that my transmission don't pack up on me ..the reason is every car uses specific transmission fluid, which is specifically reccomended by the manufacture... and honestly I just go with my mechanic advice on that. Maybe I should start importing my own transmission fluid.. And also learning from nairaland, I realise that it is better to use coolant instead of water in your radatior .. Water will cause rust and the radiator will start leaking in due time... so people with these simple preventive measures, why can't we abide by it to avoid been then mechanic best friend or better yet avoid coming to nairaland to ask for a cars diagnosis? The Nigeria way will always be na naija we dey ,we go manage am like that.. It is a corolla very strong car ,the car can take abuse etc.. Until the car finally packs up ..smh 3 Likes |

chillex8:I juz tire..some Nigerians are distinctive set of hypocrites. This thread has almost 900pages; and from the very 1st page til today, I never stop seeing that same story, this bizness has cast. More like it has even casted b4 it started some years ago.. The strangest of all..I keep seeing comments of recent that this business no be like before when e never cast..., yet, on this same NL, I still saw same comments almost 2yrs ago from some familiar set of ppl on this thread amidst others. Izzit that there is no good in this business from the onset or these hypocrites just don't want to ever see the good innit at all? It's hightime dey switch to another format to decieve car owners and prospective investors abeg. |

joeokoriem: Pele, you wan enter a cast business delivering 25k weekly. Where would the money come from? Your pocket or the cast business? What about offering 15k weekly so you wouldn't quickly exhaust your save up money for rental payment weekly? I am glad Chillex.8 don serve you chilled drink? ************************ Anyway, I feel you some car owners would be okay with a 25k weekly rental payment but the question is would you be able to meet the terms and conditions? |

HELLO GUYS, PLEASE I JUST RENEWED MY PAPER DOCUMENTS (VEHICLE LICENCE, INSURANCE AND ROADWORTHINESS) AT FRSC OFFICE IN OTA, OGUN STATE. I UPLOADED ALL THE DOCUMENTS ON MY UBER DOCUMENT UPLOAD PROFILE BUT I WAS SURPRISED THAT ALL MY DOCUMENTS WERE APPROVED EXCEPT THE ROADWORTHINESS CERTIFICATE. I RECEIVED A MAIL FROM UBER THAT " This is not the correct document type that we requested" I WAS SHOCKED AND THOUGHT THAT IT WAS A MISTAKE THEN I UPLOADED IT AGAIN BUT THIS TIME I MADE SURE IT IS VERY CLEAR BUT TO MY SURPRISE, I GOT ANOTHER MAIL SAYING THAT "The document must be in-state or in the province for the city that you applied. . I DON'T REALLY GET THIS. ARE THEY TRYING TO SAY THAT I SHOULD GET ANOTHER ROADWORTHINESS CERTIFICATE FROM LAGOS AND THAT THEY ARE NOT ACCEPTING THE ONE FROM OGUN STATE? PLEASE SOMEONE SHOULD CLARIFY THIS BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE MONEY TO WASTE AROUND. AGAIN, IF THEY ARE NOT ACCEPTING THE ONES FROM OGUN STATE THEN WHY DID THEY ACCEPT THE VEHICLE LICENCE WHICH ALSO CARRIES OGUN STATE AND ALSO THE INSURANCE WHICH I ALSO DID AT THESAME PLACE. |

chillex8: You dey on point o ..better to drive a tokunbo for few months and hopefully you would have save money aside and join it with whatever u had save previously and buy your tokunbo.. It is highly durable that way ....but the question remain is do we any or how many partners are actually buying tokunbo cars for uber? |

Tgiirl:Can you check how many trips you did from Friday to d next Sunday for the past two three weeks? Then you will know if you can meet up. I checked mine and i discovered that i did average of 90 trips. So that means 100 trips is possible. Guys let's know that nothing come free in this country. We have to work to get what we want. 40k in ten days is more than a week delivery. Is it not better to deny yourself some sleeps and secure your next week remittance. You can now take three days off and rest. The remaining four days earnings will be in your pocket. But if you drive your car, you don't need the bonus. 1 Like |

Hey guys, I got an email from Uber that all my docs have been approved and ready to go online but I'm still unable to go online as the docs still reads Pending review. Is there something I need to do? This Uber is difficult to activate oooo. How many drivers do you think have been disabled by Uber? As they claim to be over 3K? |
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by taxiappguy: 6:16pm On Jul 26, 2018 |
Ojaiyeola:There is sometimes an overlap or disparity in the texts they send people and their system's operations, however it means your documents will Soon be approved. Yes, Uber is a bit difficult to activate. Exactly why I wrote a Guide to Uber, and not Taxify. The stats are anybody's guess. Only Uber knows for sure 1 Like |
