Pacmandude: Hello there, yes I remember the story about how the two documents were submitted during your biometric appointment and you thought they would scan to UKBA. The TLS rep messed up big time because you should have been duly informed. Anyways no need crying over spilled milk, I believe you might have chosen the better option because unfortunately, (from what I have heard) tribunals sometimes take long and no guarantee of success. I know you have to spend a lot to reapply + additional for priority but it might be the best way to suppress the waiting tension. Please note that you do not pay for settlement priority visa on the UKBA website, you pay on TLS website (as a value-added service after registering your application on TLS) which is after submitting your application on UKBA. I sincerely wish you all the best!! |

stargirl1628: YOUNG MAN OR WOMAN, please do not take such an expensive gamble with so much money involved. Kindly ensure that you get a NARIC assessment if you do not have a certificate from the UK or other recognized English speaking countries. Unfortunately, Nigeria is not one of those countries. 1 Like |

Priorygroup: I am sure it will be safe, it is a courier service which other people use. Nothing is 100% guaranteed but it should be reliable. But since you do not know when your passport will be returned, I believe you will have enough time to return to PH, wait and plan to return to Lagos to collect, incase you prefer to collect in person. |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by oxygyne(m): 3:37pm On Jul 23, 2018 |
stargirl1628: Well since you have paid for the application and submitted, all you can do is wait. Be sure you completed the correct form and you answered all questions truthfully and to the best of your knowledge, I am sure you were exempted based on one of your answers but if you need to pay you will be contacted through email with a link for payment. Just like the lady you met at TLS, most of us here paid the IHS fee but we do not know your circumstance so we cannot compare apple for apple, just relax and wait for the next step or your vignette. All the best. 1 Like |

oxygyne: I think this is the best option too... apply for fast track via NARIC not the letter from school. |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Minnienellie24: 9:36am On Jul 24, 2018 |
Kakushia2: If I could recall well, NARIC requested for a letter from the school to process the NARIC Certificate. Things might have changed though because this was almost 2 years ago. |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by oxygyne(m): 12:24pm On Jul 24, 2018 |
Minnienellie24: Unfortunately, I did not have to get a NARIC assessment so I do not know the process. So here are my suggestions: 1. If someone in the group can confirm that they submitted a degree certificate with a support letter from a Nigerian Institution as their English language requirement and they got the visa. Then that should be enough evidence to support your gamble. If no one can support suggestion 1 above, then, by all means, refer to suggestion 2 below 2. Go on NARIC website and start the process as soon as possible, you have 10 days or so from the date your biometric was taken to submit supporting docs. All the best!! |

Madam..... if you love yourself (especially your sanity and peace of mind), do not.... I repeat DO NOT take that risk. A word is enough for the wise. Trust me, it will cost you way less money, save you much more time and save you even much more stress if you can just do the NARIC thing right now. You don’t want to experience what it’s like being denied a visa after spending that much and waiting such a long time. Please I repeat DO NOT TAKE THAT RISK O stargirl1628: 1 Like |

Hello beautiful people.so i arrived the UK safely into the waiting arms of my hubby today using Ethiopian airways, my new favourite airline now..impeccable service and excellent customer service. Got to the border and the lady just kept asking me series of questions about my immigration history asking about my schooling time in d UK and when i left the UK as though all the information wasnt on my passport.she detained me for a while to check the information i gave her and said if all checks out she ll update her system with my visa new status. Suprisingly she asked for my TB certificate.explained to her why it wasnt with me and she asked for the photocopy which i gave her. Immediately i got to Birmingham i went straight to d postoffice and picked up my BRB before going home cos i have 2days left on my entry clearance. On getting home with the husband they had delivered our documents.they returned everything we sent including the photocopies 3 Likes |

Extremebeau: Hi dear, Wow. That’s serious oh. Now this is scary, I thought they would not ask for the TB certificate oh! I didn’t make a photocopy. Plus was ethopian airline a direct flight? Still waiting in line for my good news |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by oxygyne(m): 8:44pm On Jul 26, 2018 |
Launna29: lol, do not worry about such things. This is a first and I'm sure she won't have been turned back even if she didn't have the photocopy. TB certificate is not a border check requirement, but so you don't panic at the airport kindly travel with copies of all your documents. Your sponsor can send you pictures or scans of the documents for you to print when the application supporting documents package is returned ok. Once you get the visa, the likelihood of been turned back at the airport is slim (but not impossible). This is just my opinion. |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by MreSBee: 7:13am On Jul 27, 2018 |
I came in through that same Birmingham airport last month and I wasn’t asked much questions... nothing like “show me your TB certificate”. I also had a few degrees in the U.K. and wasn’t asked any questions other than a few details about my studies then. I wasn’t detained and all. I don’t know why yours was like that. I don’t think I spent more than 5 minutes with the border man before I went to pick my luggage and left the airport. Anyway, the most important thing is you’re in now so welcome ma’am.... In terms of the airline, maybe you should try emirates or Air France/KLM (these are my two bests out of the few airlines I’ve used to travel). I’ve once used Kenyan airways and Arik too though. Sholeola23: Please anyone with relevant information or any link to provide the required information, kindly respond to Sholeola23. Thank you. |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Minnienellie24: 9:02am On Jul 27, 2018 |
Sholeola23: Hi @sholeola can you please be explicit about the content of section 320(11) for you to get a response ASAP. Don't think anyone would be going to check what the section says to respond to you. It would be great if you state the main reasons for your refusal as the section 320(11) encompasses a lot. If I am not mistaking, if your read this thread from the beginning you are very likely to find someone who had been in similar situation as yours. You can try this facebook group "I LOVE MY 'FOREIGN' SPOUSE: defend the rights of cross-border couples" Good-luck. 1 Like |

Sholeola23: I would advise you go on that Facebook group and ask your question as the group comprises of different people with different nationalities and with different immigration issues. If you get someone on here to help you out, fine. But then it's worth trying different avenues. I pray everything works in your favor. Good-luck. |
