Nigeria will NEVER NEVER break up. And here is why:

EVERY NIGERIAN (because of religion) believe there they will make it eventually. They believe Allah (or Jesus) will eventually bring them to prosperity.

Of course, this is a delusion of the highest order since MOST NIGERIANS DIE IN POVERTY ANYWAY. But Religion has turned 200 million of people to spiritual zombies.
Religion is fraud incorporated

That's not what I am insinuating man. Brexit, referendum that happened in Scotland. Those are what I am referring to.

If we want to disintegrate like I suggested, we should toll the path of the civilised like Britain. They vote peacefully on every vital decision that would affect the populace at large.
Why are you replying that guy? Leave him with his stupid ideology. Every sensible person knows Nigeria must disintegrate. This is the fact. We are simply not compatible.

I met the senator when he was in the house of reps under OBJs government. Awesome and interesting fellow. His wife is the current DG of NAFDAC. Something is definitely not right about our system. He sounded this progressive back then. He just went quiet due to reasons best known to him. Thank God he has found his voice. The system is actually not working. It can do way better than this but some people just don't want to work out the inevitable. Sad indeed.
This man is kind of people we call leaders. We should have many of him to lead us. We don't want these self centered fools like Fayose and co. Even Tinubu is not saying anything again.
Adeyeye, may eledumare continue to bless you are your family.
Nigeria must split!
Oodua republic!

This is why you're always alone. Why would any true born of Yoruba race trust you with this kind mindset, mentality and utterances? Banjo trusted you, he paid with his life by execution at the order of Ojukwu, the rebel leader who ran away in woman skirt and blouse.

The truth hurts, whether u like it or not, u yari*bas are double faced and a bunch of hypocrites.

And since u guys are always with lots of "company" and igbos are "alone" why not let us be, so we can separate from this shithole and live ALONE, yeah?

Aligning with Nnamdi kanu is not same as talking about disintegration.... In the chamber, its actually the opposite
Adeyeye did not make the comment "in the chamber".

Abaribe identified with Kalu, and even stood as a guarantor for his bail.

So what is your point?

Nigeria's unity is negotiable

Power needs to be devolved to subnational units

These units should be regions, not the current states

If you go on social media today, the default setting is that Hausa/Fulani/Kanuri and Yoruba (especially Muslim) are for APC and Buhari

Igbo and Niger Delta are for PDP and anti-Buhari, allowing them to support even dodgy characters like Saraki

Middle Belt are somewhere undefined in between but in their defence, they have been heavily oppressed and undermined by the Far North

These 5 regional blocks should form the regions that should receive autonomy and devolved powers to govern Nigeria

Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt and Kaduna could be special cities or territories governed by the Federal Government and should be symbolic as centers of Unity

If the regions prefer, after 20 years or a period jointly decided, they may form separate countries (full secession)

This will allow for proper internal organization of each region in case they have to go alone. The countries from USSR and Yugoslavia were subnational republics for a long time before independence

Economic advantages should not be used to unite a country if we keep sacrificing innocent human beings including infants and foetuses!!

What is happening in Nigeria today is completely unacceptable

My point is... Alignment with kanu is not necessarily the clamour for disintegration... It's more of a ploy to wind up sentiments ....

We will know when they are serious

when men and beasts run up against the limits of thire abilities they turn to tearing things down or apart. If you are a young Nigerian, listen: anyone tells you that the key to your future wellbeing is split Nigeria means you no good. Every nation has to begin in some way, ours was through colonialism. It wasn't the best of starts but start it was and we do our best with it same as some that are born in hospital beds, at home, in the bush , in toilet, breech-birth and so on.

The groupings constituting nations in Africa before the arrival of the European powers did not lend itself to nationhood in the morden sense. These nations existed in sort of semi flux, borders uncertain, loolsey defined and managed, consiquently resulting in never ending wars. Nations rose and fell. Nations related to one another in context of strength. Powerfully nations would often attack and conquer the weak, powerful men ruling these kingdoms would often overthrow or be overtrown. Traditionally they handed down authority to relatives. What we now call corruption was part of state craft, admired and worshipped. Sure, had Europeans not arrived, African city states might have evolved but Europeans did arrive and changed things.

My pad is loosing power, will return....

Thank you. The earlier we start seeing some of these problems as macro and not limited to a particular region, the better.

No region has monopoly of violence, hate, aggression, talent, resources or wealth. I was a pro- one Nigeria but I have come to a realization that we can't work as a people. Our upbringing and mentality are different. It will make better sense if we can disintegrate peacefully like its done in the civilized climes like Britain.
Peaceful disintegration will be difficult. Blacks don't like themselves.

This is the same reason why Nigerians have not been able to renegotiate their oneness,,,after 100 years. In stead, you hear things like "it will never be well with Lord Lugard"

Blacks like to blame others for their woes.

Excellent contribution. I don't think we should restructure. We should rather split into 5.
We are not compatible. We don't like ourselves. I am a Yoruba man that want a separate Yoruba nation where we can grow at our own pace.
Split Nigeria!

Britain did not disintegrate o

Who told you that

Upbringing and mentality difference is not enough to scatter the country

The different states in America have different mentality
They are NOT the same

Utah na Mormon state

California na liberal/freestyle state

The deep south has more conservative people etc

Yet they are still together working it out

I believe eventually Nigeria will become a loose federation

But the old generation have to die first

Oga Nigeria is not working, we need to go our separate ways..

Right on point, Senator. Restructuring is the only thing that can keep Nigeria together and turn things around. Otherwise, Nigeria will disintegrate.
Nigerians should only vote for a President that will commit to restructuring.

I already love this. We need more of him in our land. I still think it is better to split sha but I am happy with this news.
Seun, lalasticlala, mynd44 front page

If we can sit together and negotiate a true federal system or arrange a confederal system, that will be better than complete split. Such arrangement will allow the regions to develop at their own pace while leaving us with access to the largest market in Africa.
But splitting is definitely better than what we have at present.
