Nonsense news. Are we comparing d minimum wages of those countries to Nigeria's? In US and UK, their one month subscription rate prices can be made from their few hours working wages. In Nigeria, after subscribing from your full month 19000 naira salary, you ve nothing left to feed on. Rubbish news 3 Likes |

I don't care. All I know is to pacify the West African audience they need to broadcast all EPL matches. Nigerians especially love soccer to no end. It dumbs them down. You can shoot a Nigerian man's mother but provide him a full year of realtime Premier League footage and he'll forget whatever you did. |

Omihanifa:Lol.....I just ignored the inglorious liar....me that has no other hobby but football, ive done a lot of research on free cables ,at the end I'm using dstv(laliga, premiership and recently Italian Ligue) Startimes( French, chinese ,Dutch league, Fifa games ,pre seasons) ,Free to air for every other football games...Dstv scrambles their signals all the time ,since they know their signals are hacked. |

beethoven: This kind of APC comment is quit sad and most insensitive, of what consequences are you juxtaposing an entirely different scenario? Have you considered the factors regarding this biz? Are licensing fees for EPL for example increasing just as their subscriber base of the TV provider? If the satellite TV stations spend X amount to beam signals to one customer in Lagos for example, what the correlated amount to do same to millions? Your guess is as good as mine cos the amount is relatively insignificant.. The whole thing na system palava, why didn't they go to the Arab nations to do their exploitation? The media space has so much agog with it.. Cos the more you look the less you know 1 Like |

Eggcelent: They will still have to buy content and there the cookie crumbles. We are living in a global age with attendant mixing of cultures and pursuits. If your cable company cannot show the premiership, CNN or Telemundo, you are out of business in a whisper. The only solution to global competition is to raise the living standards of a peoples of a country to meet amd compete globally. We simply complain because we are dirt poor. The rest of the world is ready to pay Lionel Messi, LeBron James, Anthony Joshua, Kim Kardashian and Richard Quest more and more money. We either get on board or get off the train...... restructure Nigeria now for lasting, sustainable prosperity. 2 Likes |
