It depends on geography.Different Kenyan tribes speak Swahili differently! This is Otile brown who lived most of his life along the Kenyan Coast! It is believed that those from the Coast 'speak it better' not necessarily know it better.Even this case applies in Tanzania.A person who lives in Dar Es Sallam would have a different accent with a person from upcountry Tanzania like Musoma! I'm personally from Mombasa Kenya and my accent is different from those living in upcountry.Londoners pronounce English words differently when compared to Mancs!

The dance step was performed by some Tanzanian women in the last Calabar Carnival in Nigeria. My family members were thrilled and others thought it was a display of immorality. However, I let them know that this was Tanzanian culture!
We have cultural dances of twerking in Nigeria, just that they are not as erotic as that of Tannzania.

So, if I may ask, what culture has that dance step in particular? The coastal swahilis? If yes, why isn't the dance step performed by Kenyan coastal swahilis? Thanks.

Certainly thats the right way. Its also the reason I personally dont waste time digging for bad news from Nigeria despite the fact that I'd be spoilt for choice.
