frugal: I tire oooo, leaving your and accepting to drive them and waiting for ten minutes for them to come down from upstairs as they always say. You may even have to call repeatedly to plead with them to come and all these are not enough service to them my brother I don't know what else I'll do to please them. |

luxy44: Lovely ideas sir, but i also feel you need to learn how to make your points without adding a bit of insults to it. Once you start with the insults, you have lost most people reading and whatever follows counts for a little. Like it has been said earlier, every business with its ups and downs and each Aboki to his kettle. You will be surprised to find out what many people on here do apart from Uber and how well they do at it. From your points above, you have not said Uber is not profitable but you just feel the break-even wait time is too long for your own preferred investment which is understandable. If everybody here pulls out of Uber and joins your bakery business or everybody moves to palm oil business, what becomes of such business. I dont know how much you make daily or weekly that you call cashflow and that makes you say 35k weekly is nothing............ But whatever you make, I am sure Dangote sees that your cashflow as nothing..... But i doubt he will come out in the Open and say you are bereft of ideas or try to rubbish your hustle. No man is an island of knowledge, but even while trying to pass knowledge to people "who don't know as much as you do"......... Still try to be humble at it. One man's best clothe is another mans rags. 24 Likes |

Someone said this " Buying a tokunbo car of 1.7m or 1.8m to start uber/taxify doesn't make sense. It is purely lack of business idea. 35k weekly and your car can't do 52 weeks. 40weeks at most, then repairs. This doesn't make sense at all. This biz should be a side hustle for car owners. Not a kind of biz that some guys will be feeling like CEOs. Unemployment na issue for this naija " Let me say a few things, first of all, The sole purpose of business is to make profit and next is how to maximize profit. Buying a toks for 1.7m-1.8m to venture into uber/taxify makes perfect sense as against spending 900k on a naija used car which must have gone through the hands of Kazeems. A toks, if carefully driven, is expected to serve you well. You made mention of 52weeks, repairs and breakdowns. This is a norm in every business operated by machines, you can't rule that out and that's where maximizing of profit comes in. Now, in the case of maximizing profit, there are things you look at, should there be breakdown for instance, would u prefer to replace with inferior parts which would last for a short period of time or replace with an oem part which would last longer? I believe the machines you also make use of undergoes wear and tear... I will continue, let me have my breakfast. 1 Like |

You do have a point here but that's because itbisba different business entirely, when u strictly look at it from ehailing point of view then it is better to get a toks for 1.7m than going for a naija used car which maintenance is relatively unknown, though there are few good naija used cars out there. luxy44: |

brogxy: I hardly get trips in the morning these days but afternoon n evening trips are pretty normal. Chop both Monday n Tuesday evening bonus after burning up the whole 6k fuel to make 22k gross. The rate at which I consume fuel moving around looking for riders is just too much. Else if I don't move. I wont get enough request. From ICM. I took a rider to agege, blow back to ICM got another resquest quickly to magboro., blew back to ICM then resquest to surulere almost immediately again. Na so I sit inside car in surulere kilo till 10:30pm no request before blowing fuel back home. Today na. Its 10:30 no resquest. I no won burn fuel. 1 Like
