Don't waste a lot of time with slow, primitive and backward Tanzanians. TZ is a small Nigeria. Like Nigeria nearly the whole of TZ is arable and yet their agriculture remain stunted. The country has more population than Kenya. It has more landmass than kenya.

You cannot compare Kenya with TZ - in nearly any metric. Kenya a mostly desert country with 10-20% of it's land arable and without any minerals of worth punches way above it's weight.

Start even from agriculture - Nature gave TZ nearly 10 times more arable land than Kenya - and yet Kenya is world reknown agriculture country - leading in tea, horticulture, quality coffee, diary, nuts and name it.

TZ like Nigeria is special breed of stupid.Countries people look at and condemns the entire black race Now it's growing because of mining companies are investing heavily there but it remain a debt-ridden aid-dependant backward country with some of MOST laziest people on planet earth. At least Nigerians are hardworking and value education..but clearly somebody tell me what TZ is good in??

What exactly does TZ excel in? What are they known for even in East Africa or Africa - apart from Kiswahili & Nyerere smiley.

Pwahahahaha grin grin grin grin

Kenyans and Tanzanian we know each other in and out. So stop trying so hard, there is know freedom of expression in Tz, your media and opposition parties are controlled.

Welcome to Tanzania where the main opposition leader is assasinated in broad day light

Seconds after two armed men leapt from a car that had been following Tundu Lissu for three weeks, the Tanzanian opposition leader was being thrown to the floor by his driver as they sought to survive a hail of bullets.

“All hell broke loose,” says Mr Lissu, chief whip of the Chadema party. “I have been told, because I couldn’t count, that 38 bullets hit my car and out of those something like 16 hit me.”

Speaking in his first interview since the attack outside his flat in the capital Dodoma in September, Mr Lissu, one of the most vocal critics of the government, believes he was the target of an assassination attempt. And he blames president John Magufuli, alleging that it is evidence of what the opposition leader describes as a campaign to turn “the country into a dictatorship”.

“He [Magufuli] wants to crush the political parties, crush the press, crush organised civil society and the trade union and silence the church,” Mr Lissu told the Financial Times in Kenya, where he is receiving medical treatment. “Every independent centre of power should be made to comply with the demands of the big man."

Mr Lissu, who has been charged six times this year — including with sedition — after criticising Mr Magufuli, says he survived the shooting because the bullets missed his torso and “hit me on the backside big time”. He has had 12 operations and is still bed-ridden but can sit up.

“He’s trying to take us back to the 1960s, 70s and 80s when the government would control every productive activity,” says Mr Lissu, who is also president of the Tanganyika Law Society. “The private sector has suffered so much under him.”

The highest profile target has been Acacia Mining, the London-listed company that was fined $190bn for alleged underpaid tax. Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man who has built a cement plant in Tanzania, accused Mr Magufuli last month of scaring away investors.

I should add that after the murder attempt ordered by their president, Tundu Lissu the opposition leader, was flown to Nairobi for treatment in a highly guarded hospital because he was afraid the Tanzanian govt would come to finish him in Kenya. Here he is pictured recovering in a secluded ward at a Nairobi hospital.

Talking of Land - 100% of your land is owned by TZ Gov. That is one of reason why you're poor. You land is leasehold where gov can take it anytime of the day. Ours is freehold and we have very robust private ownership laws that encourage investment.

Who is gonna invest in land where TZ gov can wake up one day and decide to allocate 100,000 acres to some Qataris for game hunting.

To fix Tanzania - start by truly letting go of ujamaa communism and enact strong PRIVATE OWNERSHIP laws - starting from Land. Otherwise right now you gov can decide to take it anytime and allocate you another in some remote place.

TZ like Nigeria should be busy encouraging white farmers from Zim & South Africa to come and kick-start your agricluture.

Owning unproductive albeit arable land is useless.

Actually you Kenyans started these whole nonsense with the comparison on Twitter( no one even thinks about Kenya here) and then again after Mark Zuckerbeg 's visit. The one who opened this silly thread is in an opposition party and had to belittle Nigeria in the most demeaning way possible by bringing in the Kenyan comparison, just like there's Gabon, Rwandan, comparison etc. Honestly the thread should have died a long time ago, but people like you would not let it die since it's become a drug addiction to you, and we know that and would also give you all the support by prolonging it as much as we can to help your situation.

Who cares? He is a Nigerian!!! Get that in your thick skull. If you folks were smart you would have given the thread a very wide bath since you dont care about the opininions of opposition followers. But since these kinds of threads is what you thought you thrive at, you have been here ever since it was started. Im guessing since 2016. I found you here and all your other brothers and you dont seem to have any plans of leaving so that they can close the thread once and for all.

We are not backward to care about skin color of our farmers - we gave the British settlers an option to either become patriotic kenyans or sell land willingly - and majority did sale the land and went back to Britain - a few chose to remain kenyans - and we are okay with them.

We are also very okay with foreigners coming here to buy land or house or anything. You can come as TZ and buy land & farm.

Kenya is a free country - indians are now recognised as tribe. Obviously white settlers don't own even 1% of kenya land - arable or not arable.

We learn from whites or indians or arabs - and advance forward. But look at you - TZ - you own all the land but you produce nearly nothing.

No as a country we arent. We never make that mistake of calling ourselves rich. Coz we know what rich looks like. Only relatively speaking can we be said to be rich. We know our strengths and weaknesses and we know your country's strengths and weaknesses as well. You just have more weaknesses its a shame you think you are better. Nigerians even have worse and glaring weaknesses as seen yesterday at their airport.

With all our issues, the Nigerians had to leave their comparatively worse issues to create a thread where they get a chance to measure up to the Kenyans. We didnt start this thread, they started it. The same way Annael started that lame thread comparing Nairobi with Dar es Salaam in Jamii forum so that you get a chance to compare yourselves with Kenyans. You two lame countries (Nigeria and Tanzania) always want to feel nice by comparing yourselves to Kenyans and when Kenyans come to the threads to straighten up your rotten societies you start crying foul how Kenyans are comparing themselves to you.
Spare us the tears of emotion! Stop lying to yourself to feel good. grin Nigerians didn't start this thread to compare with your silly insignificant $50bn country. A pained ipobian who couldn't stomach Jonathan's loss started the thread in response to an earlier back and forth on Twitter probably started by one of your own. The title of the thread is actually in your favour. The only reason Nigerians paid any attention to this thread was because you Kenyans trooped in here when you saw the title thinking you would have smooth sailing. grin You've only got unrobed here. Now the Tanzanians are messing you up and you are crying. Whose fault? For your information, there was an earlier thread saying Kenya is far behind Nigeria in all aspects.
https://www.nairaland.com/3327823/kenyans-far-behind-nigerians-every
Nigerians ignored the thread because they knew it was truegrin. You would have followed that example and ignored this thread if you knew it were true Kenya is ahead. That's basic psychology. grin

At least most of bottom countries of Africa can claim to be war-torn or tiny or land-locked or remote - but what can TZ claims has made them POOR- they have no tribalism - they are stable & peaceful - they have huge arable land - the non-arable land have lots of minerals - and lots of game -

I mean TZ is one country that is truly hard to understand until you go there and find some of most laziest people on planet - with some of craziest laws. Take their labour laws - it basically nearly impossible to fire a lazy and now increasingly corrupt TZ.

I once saw a reknowned economist say on an international media house that Tanzania is often a depressing case.
