All this back and forth,is he a racist, is he not. At the end of the day it doesn't really matter, Why. He's not the first and wont be the last. It is a president's policies that will cause the most damage to its's citizens not their ideologies per say. Both President Johnsons were classified as racists but it was their policies that directly affected the people. For example, the second President Johnson signed Civil Rights legislation but he was classified as a racist.
In the end, racism will not matter to most mainstream Americans. It is only when you start affecting their wallets, that they start to take notice, i.e. tariffs, and evironmental policies. Some political analysts say that it is at the individual state and city level that citizens should be more focused on because those laws are what really hurt communities. I think there is some truth to that.
