I drive Nissa Xterra 2003 and not too long I got to know via one of the thread on car talk that I should be using Recommended engine oil SAE 5w30 (Capacity is 3.5quarts) and I have being using normal mobile oil (4 liters and 1 liters =5 liters)

Pls do you advise I revert to the recommended?

If yes pls how much is it and how do I know the original

I just got a 1998 Honda civic. The previous owner has been using Total oil. I discovered that the car brings out a light blue smoke in d morning when first started. Sir;
1. I'm thinking of changing the oil to a better one with good grade. What should be my approach to the oil change and how should it be done?
2. Is there any other possible remedy to halt the smoke since its just starting?
