Yes, he wore the armband. When he came on, he was the longest serving Chelsea player on the pitch.

Many Man Utd fans viewed Tosin Kehinde as a great prospect based on the reactions to his departure. Unfortunately, Man Utd could not assure him of the first team football, he craved.

I hope he goes on to achieve his potential. Nigeria needs world class talents.

He is already 20, he needs top flight football.

Musa has proved himself to be instrumental for the SE when it matters most. His move to the middle East will barely affect his game. As long as he's moving and banging goals, we can always expect him to be at his best for us.

Tosin Kehinde's move to Portugal was very wise and sensible. First team football in one of the best leagues in Europe will give him the platform to launch his career. I expect him to be coming to the SE very quickly.

Ebuehi's injury is jsut paining me. Reminds me of Vermaelen at Barca.

Musa's move to the middle east is good for his pocket but not good for the super eagles. Playing regularly with such level of competition will definitely affect Musa.

With the future of Simon Moses also uncertain, we might find ourselves looking for replacements for both players.

Nigeria or Morocco to replace them as host.

I raised eye-brows when the number of participating teams was raised to 24. Does Cameroon have the facilities to host a 24 team competition, with 6 venues?

Can Nigeria even pull that off considering the short time we have left? Cos I can only count the Uyo and Abuja stadiums and maybe the Adokiye stadium in PH. Which other 3 can be ready in the next couple of months when CAF will come inspecting. Mind you the AFCON is not played on artificial turf.

Morocco are in Poles positions if you ask me.

Enyimba Stadium too can be included 90 per cent natural grass...

Hmm.. Eyimba stadium. You have a point though. But I have not really seen good pictures of the current state of the facility to conclude.

The only other 2 stadiums with natural grass are the UJ Esuene stadium, Calabar and the Ahmadu Bello stadium in Kaduna. But mehn...those stadiums are for the 20th century. Serious renovation need to be done to bring them to today's standards in less then 10months.

Plus the current administration is currently too focused on winning the next year's election to take hosting of the AFCON serious.

An option could be if Nigeria can co-host with Cameroun. It is even easier since we are neighbors. Each side will produce 3 stadiums each

CAF should have considered the poor state of facilities across Africa before expanding the AFCON to 24 nations.

I once heard an African president make that exact comment, let's not underrate Nigeria here.

Dude be careful when someone praises u to bloat ur ego... Know when u are being over rated just to make u feel good and get sapped

Since ur yeye country plunged into recession, how many of ur neighbouring countries have felt the heat, let alone the whole of Africa?

Listen, if Lil Benin and Togo cough, Nigeria will get hospitalised. We know where most of the goods consumed here are gotten from.

At least it will open the door for another talented player to fill in the SE, we can understand when olayinka goes for money but when a so called leader in our nation team goes to Saudi Arabia it reflects our players mentality, hope he comes back to Europe before he gets washed up.
Moses simon I don’t get that guy, raise your game no but he’s doing agidi with a club that brought you to fame, I’m sure clubs will come for him but don’t trust theses niggas and the turkey obsession.

These guys play football for money after all. I reckon the reason why players want to play for top clubs is because they usually have the highest wage bill, they pay the big BUCKS basically.
These days you can get that big pay check playing inythe gulf region, China or America, so why not?!

Nowadays, it is very hard to find a player who'd take a paycut to play for a big team just for the sake of it.
It only happens if the player is returning to his hometown club where he has a future beyond his playing career.

Even carrasco ended up at China at age 24

And maybe also the zoning of the CAF U17 qualifiers.

African countries are not ready for a 24 nations AFCON. I don't think up to 5or 6 nations have the might to host that.

CAF can as well encourage zonal hosting. IE 2 or 3 nations in a particular zone could co-host.

OK let me put it through.

Poverty rate, Nigeria 33.1, benin, 40.1

Economy per gdp. Nigeria 405.1 billion dollars, benin, 8.53 billion dollars.

Now tell me how on earth will u even think comparing Africans largest populous country with tiny village of a benin.
Only Lagos gdp will take on that country hands down.

I havent even bring on military might and infrastructures.
, dude stop embarrassing this country to sound intelligent.
There is no room for comparison between Nigeria and benin.

What about Makurdi(picture)? The most lush looking field I've seen in the country 20k capacity. Also Plateau's stadium can be completed in that time even Lagos can be renovated.

This Nigeria bashing has become a norm these days smh. I stayed in the states almost half my life. I am not some village hack who has been brainwashed or something because I like the NPFL. So I know what a great country is like but if you cant back your self nobody will do it for you. You tend to overblow anything involving Nigeria which is unfair, Nigeria has issues but where doesn't?
You missed the point with Togo and Benin. Without us where will they sell those goods?

This is astro-turf and not acceptable by CAF for the AFCON. Besides the capacity is too small.I am sure you have followed the most recent AFCONs and you saw the stadium capacities.

From the HiFL twitter handle:
Two draws, one away win and one home win
Good turn out in Kano
Man of the match Lagos

Someone mentioned that maybe this can feed our U23 team- maybe. I hope it also gets more young people interested in coaching

There are people that just do not see anything good about Nigeria. To them any other country in Africa is better.

I shake my head for instance when I see people comparing a country like Ghana to Nigeria. Accra in my opinion is not more developed than Port Harcourt. What I heard before I visited there was way different from what I met. The only things they have that we don't have are steady power supply and security.

I watched a documentary of top ten most developed Cities in Africa, Lagos and Abuja were in top 6. Both in one country. Some of our state capitals are likened to the Capital of some countries in sub-Saharan Africa.

If you have never left this country and hear what people say about other countries you will think we are the worst in the world.

With the highest GDP in Africa, Nigeria is an economic giant of Africa.

I honestly thought that was grass but 20k should be enough for first round matches na. I should rather have a full small stadium than an half empty giant stadium. Anyhow sha, if na by size let me suggest Lagos, Abuja, Kastina, Ibadan, Uyo and Port Harcourt. All over 30K
