Please I just saw somewhere on the thread that it’s imperative to highlight in your Letter of Intent why you chose to study in Ireland. I recently submitted my documents and I just realized I didn’t really talk about my choice of Ireland, and focused on my choice of institution instead. Should I be worried? Thanks. @icasng |

Pathway to citizenship is not that straightforward. If anyone here thinks "Ireland gives two year Post study stay" and thats all forget it. There are two permits in ireland,Critical skills work permit and employement permit. Now Msc graduates can go under the critical skills provided their Job not their degree o..Their job is listed under the eligible categories of job for critical skills permit and not just that, theres a salary u must earn anually as well. For instance if you study accounting, there are professions under accounting listed there. Taxation is one of them.So my point is do a course that is in the line of any profession under critical skill and make sure the jobs u apply for are listed too.so its not just straightforward. For employment permit, one must earn at least 30k Euros annually...not s sure the figure. Also you automatically have two years post study stay to search for job,but your work permit whether critical skill or employment permit doesnt start counting until immigration approves. uchaay88:It's good to narrate reasons for choosing Ireland buy if you forgot but worth reason for choosing that tour particular course and the school you are still on the right track. Don't allow anxiety take over highest they will call to ask you question if they are not satisfied but won't deny you visa on that provide you did not use any forged document cos they are super star in documents verification |

davalababa: We had to explain how fixed deposit and investment work which I was surprised I even had to do. One of the lodgements was for property sold so we had to send the receipts of the purchase and proof of property ownership. They stamped my visa same day I sent my explanations with evidence in. |

Please I did OND before proceeding with the result to the university. I have my university transcript ready now but I will like to ask if there is any need to include my OND result while filing my documents cause I omitted the OND aspect completely while preparing my CV. A timely response will be appreciated. |

ICaSNg: Good evening all. I am new here. Its past mid night and I am crying as I come to you for consolation. I had applied to Australia in 2010/2011 for student visa and it was denied. This year, I decided to try again. I applied to Canada, twice. I was admitted for a PGcert program. Today, I got the notification that my application has been rejected for the second time. I am saddened now. . I am now considering Ireland. |

Past refusal were for Travel history, purpose, family tie and personal assets. I thought I addressed all of these prior to application. Someone shld Pls talk to me. |

In my opinion I think you should put in for masters program.they accept 2.2. Depending on the course and school. For the past refusals you can address that on you letter of application and include your refusal letters ..things will work in your favour. But please go for a master course relevant to your 1st degree and current job. All the best. 1 Like |

CODEDBARREL: Am sorry you have to go through this experience. Most of us have been there and its very devastating. However, we need to address why you keep getting refusals only then can we proceed. The thing is addressing previous refusal is the first stage, second stage is not to jump on Ireland train so you don't seem to desperate to leave the country. The bible says SELAH- it means pause for a while , re-evaluate and then re-shoot your shot. Cheers 4 Likes |
