Please I applied on 11th July and they asked me to come and collect my passport today. Without medical call etc. I know or sense its a refusal... So I intend to reapply this august and shift my admission from Fall to Jan. 2019. Based on experience guys, for those that reapplied, do I need to update my sponsors bank statement? And other documents a parts from CiC docs. Most of the emphasis I am seeing are related to we dont believe you will return to your country after your studies. Due to, travel history, purpose of visit, and family ties

Doyenrey:
Hello everyone.

Please I applied June 29th online. I discovered I made a mistake answering question 2b of the background section of IMM 1294e, I also did not complete filling my the family information form, I did not put the address and Nationality. Sent the corrected forms to the embassy via Email and also using the IRCC webform. I have not received any confirmation of receipt of those documents I sent. Do I still stand a chance? Sept. 4th resumption.

I noticed my biometrics changed from completed to " we do not need your fingerprints" two days ago? That's the only change that has occurred on my profile. What does this mean? I will really appreciate a response.

Cheers.

I will advise you withdraw your application before eligibility review citing error in filling your form that you need an amendment. This will save you being served with misrepresentation letter.

Oh now that is major. But like we already know, application has been made and you already tried to explain it, nothing can be done anymore. I hope and pray you find favour.

Please share updates as soon as you have one.

All the best.

Doyenrey:

Yes big man I did fill in other details. Thank you for the response. The mistake I made in filling the IMM 1294 was that I unintentionally did not declare my US study permit refusal, which is my main worry. I hope the Email and Webform I sent help Sha.
Thank you for the response

This might be a good advice, but he said he already tried to inform them about it. Don't you think that counts? I really don't know.

My fear is the US study permit refusal he didn't put. That's really major.

Well done sir! You have really been helpful on this platform.

However, people that get medical requests before eligibility, does that mean they didn't have check for the requirements before moving to that stage or there are exemptions sometimes.

Thanks man I appreciate. Eligibility review starts usually before any medical call. And it continues even after medical call. When an individual is called for medical for example, it means that the visa officer has reviewed the file and thinks that person is likely to qualify for the visa sought. Eligibility review is done one more time after the receipt of medical result just to make sure the person continues to qualify as earlier deemed. Sometimes the system forgets to kickstart the eligibility review throttle on the profile until after medical is received. That is why it appears sometimes that some receive medical call before review of eligibility is started. In actuality it is not so. Every person who receives a medical call, review of eligibility was done in one form or the other before the invitation was sent out. It is clearly not a random call.

Approval -1th August

My younger brother application for undergraduate studies was approved. We couldn't believe how fast it was. Did paper application at VFS Abuja and didn't link it online cos we thought it was too early to start tracking. Just to receive the approval mail on Wednesday.

Note: the application letter came from the Lagos embassy which means the application was processed in Lagos

Good day everyone, my visa was denied last month, and my school starts September 4. It’s obvious I can’t meet up so I asked for a defer, unfortunately for me the next intake in my course is till September 2019.

My Question is, if I should get the school defer letter of 2019 now, can I apply now ? How early can I apply? Will the embassy refuse because of the date is far? I wouldn’t mind being in Canada ,working or doing any skill am good in, while I wait for my school to start in September 2019.

Thanks

You can apply anytime and the High Commission will give you the visa if you qualify. However, you are not allowed to travel to Canada too early except you have good reason to travel early. If you are coming one year to resumption, the officer at POE might rightfully suspect you of coming to Canada to work illegally and deny you entry. A visa from Nigeria is not a guarantee of entry to Canada. The real permission is granted by officer inspecting you at airport or border. It’s okay to travel a few months before resumption and if asked you can say you came to be acclimated to your new environment. But travelling a year before school starts, what would be your good reason? That you came to cram the entire syllabus before professor has opened mouth to teach one word? Be careful!! Don’t do things that would make you be barred from Canada or jeopardize your chances of obtaining residency there should you decide to eventually want to live there. A word is enough for the wise.

Brother, i'll advice you to apply to MUN or Windsor. Windsor might not be so difficult to get into.
Windsor gave my friend an admission with same of yours. GPA.3.65/5.0.He has no work experience, just graduated lately. He packaged his application well and wrote an extremely convincing Letter of Intent which i read.. (course based masters) And i guess his letter of recommendations are great.

My lil advice, buh if u feel Manitoba is okay by you. Go ahead brother.

Thanks for the tip

You shouldn't compare your application with those that recently got their visas because they are PHd applicants. PhD applications are generally fast in getting response.

Be hopeful!

Not just that it is wrong to compare one's application with PhD applicants. It is totally wrong to compare your application with anyone's own whether PhD, Masters or PGD/C. Applications differ in all aspects. Continuous comparison will lead you into HBP and you will not like the outcome.
