How PDP Should Strategize To Beat Buhari In 2019 by IBBG(m): 10:55am On Aug 04, 2018 |
Since the president seat has been zone to the north, i assume Atiku is the only presidential candidate with the cloud, means and funds to beat buhari. The vice president seat should go to a suitable candidate in the west with electoral value either jimi agbaje who is liked by both west, east and south. Or if possible lure one of the influential opposition politician in the west with a VP seat and watch how the south west vote is split The senate president seat should go to north central, preferably saraki. The speaker of the house seat should go to the south east. deputy senate president and deputy speaker should go to the south south. If buhari is to be defeated sacrifices has to be made in the PDP. They will have to trade the VP seat to the South west to a candidate with electoral value and respect (not fayose, he can be appointed incharge of EFCC lol) if possible from the opposition party (APC). If PDP can think strategically and act strategical without been blinded by sentiments, buhari is very beatable in 2019 polls. They can put the final nail on buhari already battered political image. Anything outside this will be extremely difficult to win. PDP need every region to defeat buhari. My south east brothers should please be willing to sacrifice the VP slot to defeat buhari. You are not sidelined at all. The VP slot from the south west negates the osinbajo factor and proves to the yorubas that PDP is a national party and is willing to accomodate them. Even if PDP don't win there, they need to gather as much vote as possible from the south west region and with the north vote already split, the check mate will be the block votes from south south and south east. mind you i'm from south south, cross river state to be precise. 8 Likes 1 Share |

My Verdict: How PDP should strategise to beat bullhari in 2018. Saraki should lure a few more greedy APC senators to PDP, i believe dogara will also be able to perform his own part. after that they will impeach the old man and send him back to daura-the land of beasts and herdsmen. Ndonu101:That is why i believe PDP winning lies in the hands of the south east willing to trade the VP slot for speakership to win the presidency in 2019. Along side the speakership slot, south east can also compensated with ministerial appointments as well. PDP have a huge task on their hand in terms of begging and persuading the south east to make the sacrifices in other for the party to win in 2019. The target is to split buhari stronhold which is the north and the west, the central is already tillting towards the SS/SE, the saraki factor is playing a role already. PDP can not allow buhari to win block votes in the south west or the game is over for them. PDP really need to strategize properly to take buhari out, because as it is now his political reputation is already limping. Proper strategy will finish him at the polls. Anything other than that buhari will coast to victory. I would even recommend jimi agbaje for the VP slot in the south west, since he is a very likable person in the south west, east and south. 6 Likes 1 Share |

asobo:True talk. All the political heavy weight in the country will always remember the sacrifices they made to defeat buhari and will readily backed an igbo presidency in 2023 for their prominent role. By trading the VP slot they may stand to gain a presidential slot in 2023 in PDP based on zoning. 1 Like 1 Share |

There are certain times in the history of humanity that snipers are heroes. If 20 corrupt politicians go down, Nigeria will reset. Instead of running away, think outside the box, cos you deserve to live in your country and enjoy your forefather's inheritances instead of living in foreign countries you feel like strangers for ever. I am in no way supporting violence, but Herdsmen and Kidnappers have gotten the wrong targets. 2 Likes |

asobo:Thank you very much. Politics is more like a game of chess, you have to be able to see all your moves before making one. Politics is won more by strategy before action, hence why the likes of saraki and tinubu is hailed even with their shady past. It is more for their political strategy and sagacity that has earned them a particular respect 4 Likes |

IBBG:who is that "Jimi Agbale"? Ask for Sowore: his people like him. strategy looks ok.. But the pieces you chose don't look so good. Atiku has a BIG problem in the WEST! OBJ Kwankwaso is clean. IGBOs might relax if you offer CBN governor, customs chief, SGF and perhaps speaker #AnyBodyButBuhariFor2019 https://www.nairaland.com/4657210/exclusive-god-never-forgive-me#69978798 2 Likes |

asobo: This is not foresight anything. This is self interest you are promoting a lot of you don't discuss political issues in fair minded way Obasanjo has emerged President under PDP, he is from the South West Jonathan has emerged Vice President and President under PDP he is from the South South and then you are telling South East to have some kind of foresight for 2023 so that South West that currently are not investing much in PDP at the moment produce the VP again? That's just plain dishonest my brother If a Northern candidate with a South East VP is not good enough to defeat the failed Buhari Presidency in 2019 then I really don't see how a South East candidate can win any election in 2023. PDP must find a way to align our National Interest with our regional interests and ensure it is fair to all. This is not the time for games! 9 Likes 1 Share |

Anyother person other than Buhari winning the election in 2019 will NEVER step down in 2023. The idea of stepping down for an Ibo candidate in 2023 is funny and wishful thnking. In Nigeria I laugh in stepping down If that is genuine let such a person make the commitment publicly and clearly that he will only go for one term only and suport an Ibo in 2023. It will nott happen. Folk should deal with reality and not indulge in fantasy 11 Likes |

bros! what u fail to understand is that there is no politician alive that can split the votes of Buhari in NW and NE,have u ever been to any of the north core states? is it atiku that will split buhari's vote! pls don't be delusional, his not even sure of winning his state the closest to making any meaningful impact is kwankwaso, who won't win his state too,but should be able to get 30-40% in kano and kaduna even those that are tired and abusing Buhari in core north states, knows atiku is not an option IBBG: 2 Likes 1 Share |

igbo's are definitely not getting the presidency in 2023 bcuz of two scenarios that will play out 1.with the support of Tinubu for Buhari in 2023,APC will reciprocate that and zone the presidency to the SW region 2 if eventually APC zone the ticket to SE,PDP will likely fill a northerner as presidential candidate..which will make northerners support PDP aribisala0: 6 Likes |

IBBG:Oga,am also from cross river.the state is not so safe for pdp.apc are getting stronger here.most of the top politicians in crs are in apc.apc now dominates the central zone plus a large part of the south.buhari has given our state more appointments than any other southern state,it is unprecedented.hes close to buhari.all these will give him close to 100k votes in the state.apart from that,he has a handful of supporters in crs.i dont see pdp winning apc unless most of the governors support pdp, deflate buhari votes in the north and inflate pdp votes in the souyh 4 Likes 1 Share |

IBBG:ss/se will be locked down for who? You people don't know what we mean when we say no more elections throughout biafra land forever and ever. ipob comprises of 98% of the people living in biafra land except if the 2 remaining percentage will be the one to do the locking down for pdp in which I believe they will only be party faithfuls..... They are just a drop in the ocean when compared to population intakes. I have said it times without number on this platform, any political party that will depend on biafra people to win any election in this zoo will not only loose here on earth, she will also loose in heaven. Any party that want to win apc should carry their evangelical mission to middle bet cos that region is so gullible they can fall for the gimmick of party oratory proneness but as biafra land, Nigeria has lost us. we are gone for good. 2 Likes |

IBBG:who do you think you are fooling? So if atiku wins now, he will step down for an igbo man in 2023? As in rule one term? U are joking... Say something else and I will accept as long as it will remove Buhari but don't try to play on our intelligence as Igbos just lure us to give the slot to the south west with hope of getting presidential slot that you know no winner will like to relinquish after one term. I believe our sensibility should be respected please. Don't insult us any further. I can agree that the igbo should let the presidential slot go for now till 8 years expire for who will win via PDP just for the sake of removing Buhari... But don't you try to make it look like we a silly. 5 Likes 1 Share |
