It is the other way round.

190 - 5 points

489 - 10 points.

It was a mistake. Thanks for pointing it out.

@Boseroye,

The only way to know is by applying. Put your years of experience as outlined in your CV. The worst that can happen is for them to say no.

Timeline to the Glory of God and shame of the devil

Vetasses positive Assessment - Feb 2017

Attempted 3 IELTS, 1 Toefl, 3 PTE in Australia - April to Dec 2017. I could not get band 7 in all these, got very fustrated and travelled to dubai in Jan 2018 to write PTE, paid for two tests and was finally able to get band 8. Bear in mind, this was my major delay.

Nsw invitation and Approval - March 2018

190 visa application- 05/04/2018
190 visa grant for me, spouse n 2 kids- 02/08/2018.

Hmmmmm, this journey has not been easy at all (understatement) it had consumed a lot of money and peace because we are onshore. It has been God all though. I pray for the same blessing that i and my family have received today to spread across to everyone expecting same.

Make hay while the sun shines.

Congratulations. AMEN

I'm thinking the same, but won't he have issues when he gets to visa application? Since, I believe VETASSESS would have clearly stated 1.2yrs in the outcome letter.

Wow, I just checked to see the results of the last invitation draw held 11th July, O'boy ITA go hard without 75points oh. 70 pointers invited had a "Date of effect" 5 months old. If you're just starting to select an occupation please gun for one with options to 190 and 489. This SM program is getting tougher.

I believe more people will be pushed towards 489 this program year, perhaps, the ultimate motive of DHA.

Hi all,
I'm new here but I've gained a whole lot from both threads. God bless all the contributors.

I have an issue I'm trying to figure out, so thought to bring it here. So I applied to vetassess for hotel manager, claiming two career timelines: 2011- 2014 (hotel admin assistant) and 2014-2018 (hotel manager). I received a positive outcome few weeks ago, however, my years of experience was slashed to 1.2 yrs. Now to my issue, I was going for visa class 190 for NSW, but sadly hotel manager was removed from the 190 list last week. The only viable option for me is Victoria, but I'm wondering if I'm qualified to get nomination from Victoria cos they have an additional requirement for "at least 5years experience". Now I'm wondering if the experience Victoria will consider is that of vetassess (1.2years) or my general years of experience which is 8yrs. Pls advise.

Thank you guys!

Most likely the 1.2 years Vetassess gave you.
However, there is no harm in trying.
I can see its available in NT and even Tasmania as well for 190
489 for SA, TASMANIA, NSW, NT and VICTORIA. Apply to as much states and regions u can apply to.
the earlier the better as well. Goodluck.

But I think invite increased by 500 because it was 610 per round before but now 1010,so could be a good sign,
Engineers even need as high as 80 now #sigh

Good evening.
While doing my Aussie research this evening, I stumbled on Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) job and realized it fits into my job more than a Customer Service Manager (CSM). The QAM job is being nominated by Tasmania and SA and assessed by VETASSESS.

I need assistance from anyone who has been assessed as a Quality Assurance Manager with VETASSESS or a link to anyone who has a positive assessment.

Is it possible to change occupation to CSM if one does not get a positive assessment on QAM from vetassess?

I also saw the below on Tasmania’s website. Does this mean I can’t select another territory (South Australia) on my EOI? Is there a way around it?

If you intend to apply for state nomination, Tasmania must be selected as your preferred location on the EOI. If you select ‘any’ or express interest in living in another state or territory will not meet the criteria to be considered for state nomination in Tasmania.

It will end in praise

ATM transfer ke?
Yes u might be able to use your card to make online payment but this is dependent on your bank really.
If that doesn't go through contact this website https://www.austransaction (dot)com/ u might be able to have them make the payment for you while u deposit the naira equivalent in their Nigerian account.
Disclaimer: i dont know who owns the site personally oh. Myself and a couple of people here have used them and they came through.
Good luck

400 overall per month wouldn't be much of a game changer. With the caveat that the number will be regulated depending on the applications bring yreated at DIBP, this goonz are up to something.

Pls how do I go about the payment with the debit card? I have an Ecobank Acct. Dere is no option of debit card only credit card, and I do not have the AIMS acct details for the transfer. DAT is d only thing delaying me now, assessment fee payment. Pls help me.

adeomoade:

Use your debit card ( master or visa). Eco bank exchange rate is around 269/AUD while GTB is 276/AUD. Most ATM cards are either master or visa cards.

@beckini89 I have used both credit card and debit card for AIMS. I used credit card for initial assessment and a debit card for AIMS exam. Put card Number and Security on the payment form.Ofcourse a credit card is always safer but a debit card works also.I found the exchange rate more favourable when you use a USD card than local currency card BTW I am not Nigerian .Check exchange rate and make your decision.

Hi everyone in the house,
Plz I need advise on skill assessment tru VETASSES. I have gotten OND and HND in Accounting with 9yrs 5months work experience as hotel manager. I am about to try skill assessment. Do I need to attest both my OND n HND certificates for VETASSES assessment? Does my school need to send verified copies to VETASSES?
Also, do vetasses require my two certificates or only my HND?.

Plz help me all the gurus in the house.

Good morning House.
It's been a while here.
I went on sabbatical, but I'm fully back now, especially with the good news from Tasmania this morning.
My Tasmania nomination finally came positive this morning. The race has just begun.
Space will fail me if I start to mention all of you by names.
You've been so kind, some of have even become friends sticking closer than families.
THANK YOU ALL.
