It is illegal for the EFCC to block the accounts of a state. The EFCC act does not give them that power. The state governments affected should approach a competent court of law to stop this aberration and illegality.

I hope it's not Saraki that has planned this one with EFCC. This is a very good government indeed where open impunity and brazen lawlessness is the order of the day. Even governor's immunity have been indirectly removed by this govt especially if a governor is not of APC.
They want Nigeria to be 1party and 1 religion nation. I hope Bulgari will willingly hand over power even after 8 years. I doubt it based on the way things are going.

all this freeze of State government account the presidency will not issue a statement acknowledging that they are aware of the development but when it becomes National issues the presidency will dissociates itself from the matter and claims that they did not clear the EFCC to freeze the affected state public funds

Can the state function without the accounts?

Am yet to understand when states started committing crimes.

Are the froozen Accounts only for security votes or the State's operational account?

APC and PDP should not bring this their dirty politics close to the masses ooo

This action wont affect the politicians only the poor masses.

Now is the time to know if Osibanjo is really in charge or if Magu is working for Saraki.

Bro, it's a game plan by the executive and APC. Use EFCC to freeze the account of the state so the state governor can't afford to pay salaries and do projects until next election. Then bring in a candidate that will promise to pay salaries and do projects. Our leaders are killers

EFCC is trying to use this freezing of accounts to determine outcome of election in opposition party states

This nonsense has got to stop

The court in Ekiti vs EFCC already ruled on this matter

These are the excesses of power that a truly federal state will avoid.. On what grounds does EFCC have the power to close down accounts of a state? No court orders just unilaterally. When we are all aware that the EFCC remains a branch of the executive due to its lack of independence. The states must be equal partners in the nation every state is sovereign in their own right! Nigeria is just a confused mess.

Stop the propaganda. All GEJ kids schooled in Nigeria, unlike Buhari.
You can Google what happened when his wife visited the daughter at the university and law school.

My people, no need to postpone the evil day. Day Zero is here. The time to act is now.

There would be no election in the real sense of it in 2019. The plan is already in motion to muscle their way through everything and return the APC to absolute power by hook or crook.

The only reason why Daura was sacked yesterday was because it is widely believed in the corridors of power that he has a soft spot for Saraki and informs him of plots against him beforehand, which allows Saraki to prepare himself and leak the plans to the press. Otherwise, Daura would still be there, even if Osibanjo chooses to resign.

The EFCC's Magu, the police IGP Idris, the INEC puppet Chairman and ALL his commissioners, and the entire apparatus of government (including the NBC, to crackdown on the media) is in high gear. It is a total all out bloodletting and carnage to make Nigeria a One Party State.

The worst part of it is that it is not about Buhari per se. He is merely a figurehead. Even if he dies now nothing would change. Osibanjo would simply be tossed out and the Cabal who have climbed on Buhari's head to power would perpetuate themselves in power with brute force.

Now listen. You think the desperation to take over the National Assembly is for nothing? The grand plan is to have absolute control of the National Assembly and more than two-thirds of the state assemblies. Then, like a dream, the next thing would be to arrange a so-called Constitution amendment in which presidential term limits will be expunged, along with other amendments to consolidate power. This will be executed with far more ruthlessness than Obasanjo could muster for his failed constitutional amendment for his Third Term agenda.

What we're facing now is more vicious than Abacha and the worst military regimes we've had., believe it or not. It is shaping up to be like Teodoro Obiang's Equatorial Guinea, albeit with a loose cabal of all-powerful 'deities' rather than a single Obiang.

Nigerians must rise now. Politicians in the opposition along with other conscientious activists must rise now. If they wait for the elections then it will be too late. It is a battle of survival. A matter of life and death.

It is imperative to rise now and face this threat head on. Even if it means shutting down the country and sacrificing lives. It has to be done now not later, otherwise we will be in a deep mess that would take the country generations to recover from.

Can't believe Buhari can go all this length? So for sacking Akpabio's brother, Akwa Ibom State government has committed crime that would warrant muzzling over 3million people for the sake of a few?

I know for sure that nothing lasts forever.

So they believe they can muscle Udom into submission? Does EFCC have the constitutional right to freeze a state's account?
