Applied July 9.
No interview questions asked apart from what type of visa I was applying for and evidence of BA.
Took a month to be processed.
Picked up my visa today.
The only question I was asked when I went to pickup was when do I want my visa to start from.

Course: MSc. Ag. Econs
Universitat Hohenheim

Thanks to all Nairalanders especially those Dons answering questions and pouring out knowledge for others. Great is your reward.

Wow congrats. That makes the three of us going to Hohenheim.
I'm going for MSc Int'l Business and Economics

Hi everyone...I just found this thread last month.
I have been able to read up a bit but I am still not clear on some issues.

I have a bsc degree in economics from oau, I wish to apply for a MSC degree in finance in Germany.
Can anyone recommend a good school with relatively good price?

Plus I am a novice when it comes to the issue of documents required and all.

I know of blocked account and all that...do I need GRE or proof of English proficiency?

Kindly help me

Hallo, I can help you.

There are few schools who offer Msc Finance. The list goes this way.

1. University of Cologne - this uni is in NRW, and offers MSc Business Admin, with
a specialization in Finance, HR, Econs, Accounting and Information systems. You may have
to submit a GMAT and TOEFL/IELTS, even though the GMAT is optional (it will just boost your points
during admission selection process). Feel free to call the school, or the program co-ordinator, or check
www.wiso.uni-koeln.de or www.daad.de for this particular programme.

2. University of Tuebingen - this one is located in the southern part of Baden-Wuerttenberg. As it
stands, universities here charge nearly 6000 Euros for a 2 year program (1500 per semester). Their
MSc Economics and Finance is restricted though, so you would need to have a high CGPA from OAU. Still
apply though, and make sure you have your TOEFL too. Check https://www.uni-tuebingen.de/en/international.html

3. University of Ulm - Don't really know much about them, but they offer this course Msc Finance.

One tip, be flexible with your choices too. Like - also go for other management courses like Marketing, Accounting, Project Management
and Economics. Avoid the Uni-assist route - like some on here have asserted in the past posts. And of course, research more by yourself - not everything said here paints the clear picture. Tchuess!

Only the VO on dreadlocks gave test though.

[quote author=richgut post=69940892]My those who have funded and/or completed their interviews, My advise is to turbo-charge your search for accommodation in the town or neighboring town of your school location. Accommodation is big issue in Germany now and planning ahead is the secret to securing one before studies commence.Good luck people..

Please I sent a mail to you...kindly respond asap

Thank you

My Interview was also today. I was sadden when i didn't see Paulinus, cause my documents complete die. This Cool guy was over cool. He will just ask you hope all your documents are complete and you arranged them properly. The VO that attended to my was on the Left (Fine young girl), The VO in dreads giving people paper to write was on the right; I don't know if it was test or Interview questions. I never got the chance to ask.

My Transcript:
Bsc or Msc
Do you have a degree already. What degree?
What is the name of your school you attained your first degree?
Where is the school located?
What year did you graduate?
Why do you want to study in Germany?
What course are you going for?
Why the course?
What is your CGPA? (after saying my cgpa)
What grade is that (whether its 1st class or 2nd class)
How did you find about your school?
How did you apply?
Why another Bsc?
Why not continue your education in Nigeria?
Tell me what you know about German?
What are your plans after graduation?
What plans have you made towards your preparation?

Thank you, that will be all. We will get back to you.
End!

My advice to those yet to take the interview especially those that have left school a long time ago. Questions remember every detail about your school you graduated from such as CGPA, Year you graduate etc. I feel this questions are a test to ascertain your seriousness as a student.

Many thanks to Mamtobs and Fustinachichi for the support and encouragements! AM await us all in Jesus Name, AMEN!

Hello Great Minds,

Congrats to everyone who have been given admissions and a big thanks to the big bosses in the house.
I have gone through the pages but I need clarification on certain things.
1. Is there another ways to apply without going through Uni-assist?
3. How do I make payment on Uni-assist?
