This is normal message you get anytime they missed finishing your application within allocated timeline. Many received the same message and still get the visa

Hello here! At long last, it's my turn to testify!!! All gratitude to GOD almighty, I got my visa yesterday. I'm a self sponsoring student. Standard application. Online submission 10th July. Interview and biometrics 13th July. Decision Made 7th Aug. Courier delivery 9th Aug.

I was initially refused visa in Feb 2018 cos my statement was short of 28 days so I had to defer my admission to Sept. But when I got my new CAS, tuition had jumped to 15300 pounds from 13000, same course, same school, same year o. I just cancelled my place and started applying to new unis within my budget. I finally settled for RGU, Sept intake.

One important thing I noted on my Feb refusal letter was that the ECO said he "took account of 4 things in assessing my individual application

*the financial and employment information as declared by me in my application.
*my passport
*my family circumstances
*the supporting documents I provided
These just told me that for my re-application, to avoid new 'stories' and new reasons for refusal, it won't be a bad idea to add other relevant documents apart from just CAS credentials and financial evidence.

My circumstances are very peculiar: though I have a good travel history with UK and even have a 5 year visit visa valid till Sept 2019, I'm in my 30s, single, an adult orphan, unemployed since July 2017 (although I had worked continuously for 9years plus in the formal sector till last year), only one sibling in Nig and two in UK who have been there for decades, though legally. Even my TB certificate was to expire on 5th Aug 2018, but I used it like that.

This my 'serious combination' made me worry so much if they will see me as a genuine student, but after all the self-imposed headache, high body temperature, high BP, anxiety, sleepless nights, it came out positive.

Lastly, I appreciate everyone here for your posts. They all helped me in one way or the other. A very special, capital GBOSA with honours to @Justwise - to think you have been active and helpful on this thread since 2009 is simply commendable!!!

Best of luck to you all!

Congratulations on your visa approval!
Please could you let me know at what point employment history was required on the form? I've filled my form but haven't submitted yet. However, the parts where I was asked if I work for the military, judiciary, government, media or security organisations, my answer was 'No' because I have been working in a private hospital. After that, there was no follow-up question requesting for my employment history. Please let me know where u indicated your employment history and if my job falls into any of the categories above.

Secondly, how long did you indicate that you'll be staying in the UK- 1 year or 1 year 4 months(as you expect to get on your visa)

I no be justwise but make sure for every day of the 28 days the money in your statement doesn't fall below the minimum amount required (that is, your tuition balance + Living costs).
I'll advice your bank statement never shows a zero account balance!

Please gurus of the house advise me, My cousine applied for a master degree in one of the UK universities and awaiting for admission. I want to know whether her degrees (OND, HND and PGD) need to be authenticated at the ministry of Education Abuja as a must?
I have heard some people say different things about this I don't know whether she must do this or not please advise accordingly, thanks.

Hello please I applied for Canada study permit since may 13 my application was received 2 days later today Aug 10 I still haven't heard anything from them am so fed up.
Phocusjosh:
Most definitely. According to what CIC stated on my letter of introduction; I must enter Canada by 2020-10-31 ,which is exactly the last day my TRV will expire. I don't need to reapply for a new TRV rather show a new admission letter at POE. You know TRV is different from study permit and its only issued at POE.

Thanks for your concern

Hi @Renee25. Thank you.

For how long I will be staying in the UK, I filled a year and six weeks.

About my employment history, there was no specific place where it was asked, but because I guessed that my job background could come up during the interview (and it did), I didn't want to take chances and let my being without a job for that long make them doubt my seriousness, I had to be steps ahead of them ECOs. All I did was to write a strong Personal Statement and included my 'intimidating' CV, and of course, I had to add all the evidence to support all that. Again, I did that because of my personal circumstances and my instincts. I just needed to get my career back on track so badly with this new studies/qualification that I couldn't afford to let them deny me again for any reason under the sun.

Lastly, about work in military, government, judiciary, etc, I remember always answering 'Yes' to that on my visit visa application (cos of NYSC), but I can't remember that question on this Tier 4 one. I'll check the form and confirm to you.

some people show statements without where the money came from. For example, if they transferred 10M into your account on the 3rd of July, you print out from the 4th of July and count your 28 days.

Or print out from the day the money was sent to your account. Truth be told, either way, you will get your visa. Personal opinion, I prefer the former (they don't start asking unnecessary questions).

grin Calm down you will get your visa, it is a normal mail message if they need more time to act on your application. Once you are sure you submitted the documents listed on your CAS and your SOA shows enough money, you will get your visa. Instead of panicking, start thanking God in advance, get foodstuffs and pack your loads.

Uk student visa is 95% sure once you answer all questions honestly and submit the right documents.

Ask this question on the Canada thread.

grin No need to panic, normal levels with Canada applications (takes time). Did you do online or paper application? If it is paper application, link it online and monitor to see live updates on your application.

That being said, you should get a response before the end of this month because schools resume next month.

P.S If your application has exceeded the normal processing times, send them a message ASAP.

Do I need to submit my transcript when applying for student visa.

All documents listed on your CAS should be submitted. Please make sure you do not omit any when submitting. It is better to submit extra than submit less.

Read through your CAS very well, there is a section where it will say "Evidence Provided" All the documents listed in that section of CAS must be submitted to the embassy + your statement of account.

P.S: If using parents account, you attach a letter from your parents and your birth certificate.
