Contrary to reports in the local media that attempted to discredit allnigeriasoccer.com's exclusive report on the true situation of Nigerian winger Samuel Kalu, Bordeaux have officially admitted that their new signing is NOT qualified to play in the Ligue 1 at the moment.

Croatia U21 star Toma Basic who was signed barely four days ago has been named on Bordeaux 19-man roster for their Ligue 1 opener against Strasbourg at Stade Matmut-Atlantique on Sunday, while Kalu who completed his transfer to the club about a week ago has been left out for administrative reasons.

Bordeaux legend and Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr has been contacted by Kalu's camp and he assured them and his former employers that the former Gent winger will definitely be called up for the Super Eagles upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Seychelles ans Libya, and this will pave the way for his transfer to be approved by the Ligue de Football Professionnel.

This is not the first time the German-born Rohr, who is in the possession of a French passport, will attempt to circumvent Ligue 1 rules and the last time he was successful, having handed an undeserved call-up to Porto's Chidozie Awaziem before his transfer to Nantes.

Awaziem's lackluster display on his competitive debut against South Africa in June 2017 put Nigeria's qualification for the 2019 AFCON in jeopardy and the defender is to be blamed for at least one of the two goals conceded by the Super Eagles in that game.

Kalu's predicament could potentially ruin his career as he may find himself inactive for close to three months before he can play in the Ligue 1, and that's if he gets assistance from Rohr.

The parties that brokered the deal that took the 20-year-old to Bordeaux have been blamed for taking a player to a league without knowing the rules.

Allnigeriasoccer.com has repeatedly contacted Bordeaux press chief Aurelie Carrey for the club's official statement but she has chosen not to comment.

Marius Mouandilmadji came from Cameroon league straight to Porto's first team. He scored today.

Our top scorers struggle to get into Norway.

Why are you worried about the top scorer, don't we have about 5 Nigerians at Porto who haven't smelled relevance yet?

The man came straight from the Cameroun league, did not languish in team B at all.

None of the Nigerian players in Porto has done that.

How many Nigerian league players leave the league to a team of the size and profile of Porto? It does not happen.

Recently turned 18 year old Nigerian forward Etiosa Ighodaro has emerged as a target for several top teams in Europe after his goal scoring feat at the prestigious Viareggio Youth Championship.

The Abuja Football Academy forward first made his mark at Viareggio last year in Egypt when he scored six goals, a tally he improved on this year with 8 goals at same tournament.

His consistency at the tournament in two different edition has sparked interest in his services from teams in Italy, Holland and Belgium ‎with his representatives also considering a proposal from a top team in Russia.

Strong, quick and skillful the manner which he scored the goals he netted at Viareggio earned him the nickname ‘Killer’ among scouts who were at the prestigious youth tournament in Italy.

He is the younger brother to former Enugu Rangers forward Osaguona Ighodaro of Qatari side Umm Salal and at a time he played in Morocco for Raja Casablanca before moving to Belgium, where he represented KV Mechelen and Westerlo.

I have not said anything.

How do explain that they can produce players good enough to walk in Porto first team and our top league players can't cut it in Sweden and Norway??

you should worry about the troubling number of Nigerians that have not come good at Porto. If all these Nigerians can't get past team b and a Chadian comes from Cameroon to do it, then that is a SE problem and notl NPFL alone.

Ok what is your point.

There are several interpretations of this.

1. We are not producing good enough players in the NPFL.

2. The big teams are not looking at our league for quality.

3. Our league teams are not scouting/recruiting quality players.

Etc..

One or all of these interpretations could be correct.

You are comparing academy players to professionals.

There is no guarantee that good academy players will make good pros.

The NPFL players are supposed to be already pros.

See goalpost movement! I thought academy players were better than NPFL players so what is the problem now? Ok so we agree they are better but why can't they make a team a player from Chad can make? I want you to use your 2 plus 2 is 4 football analogy to dissect that one for me.

How often does it happen?

I have heard Ghanaian, South African, francophone players move directly to the 5 major leagues from their local league.

That simply does not happen in the NPFL.

Academy players are making better moves than NPFL players. Fact!! The evidence is all around the national team.

Does it guarantee success? No.

You have to play in the under 18s and build your way up as an academy player.

Until we build our league to the point where the best of our league players can break into big leagues. We will struggle to make an impact as a national team.

We can live in denial that our league is quality in spite of the evidence to the contrary.

So when a professional moves success is guaranteed?

I never said we have a quality league.

But I will always maintain that we have quality players in our league but factors work against the majority of them that deny them reaching their potential. If you want to crusade against those factors fine by me but bashing the players when you are aware of these facts is down right ridiculous.

The things, i have been saying for years.

1. Our league does not give talented players the platform to improve or reach their potential. On the contrary, you are more likely to see a player start to depreciate the longer they stay there.

2. The low standard of the league means that qualifications like "top scorer", "best league player" are not really meaningful. The real test of a player is when they move to more quality leagues.

Dam that's the same height as Lebron James. He used to be goofy but it seems he has gotten used to his size. I hope he gets an U20 call.

My question remains unchanged, is a professional player who transfers to another league guaranteed to succeed? A quality player can go his career without making impact when you add injury and bad luck.

The problem is you want the whole league to be world beaters but that is unrealistic. Players improve if they want to. The premier league didn't make Ronaldo good and neither did la liga with Messi. If players don't want it you can't blame the league. Do u know how many south Africans have flopped in Europe? Only a handfull didn't.

The fact is that the Nigerian player has not been wanting it enough. They want success but not greatness. Like I said this isn't about the NPFL it is a Nigeria problem. How can you blame the NPFL for a Daniel Etor choosing Oman as hiss definition of success?

I have followed him since 2016 when I knew him as a clumsy 16 year old. It wouldn't be the first time that a website would be wrong about a player's age, unless you are saying they interviewed his mother?
