obataokenwa:stop making a fool of yourself if you can't point out the evil in poor people struggling and you blaming tinubu for it. Nigerians from all over migrate to a tiny state. 20m people love in the small state the tiny state collects 10b on the average from the FG monthly and makes 30b from IGR. yes tinubu is a godfather but he transformed Lagos and made it what it is today. even in states like akwa ibom/bayelsa/delta with small population and large revenue we don't blame the governor or godfather for every poor people you see on the road. you see poor people on the road and you blame tinubu. can LASG employ and pay 20+m people monthly? how is tinubu to blame for the poor man selling fruit in oshodi for years? did tinubu steal his inheritance? 3 Likes |

Who has seen a disillusioned man building a house before, he starts from laying the brick, then suddenly remembers the foundation and abandons the brick to start the foundation, suddenly he tells himself he needs a roof so that wen ppl see the roof they will know he's building a house,. He then abandons the foundation and starts with the roof.. Hmmm I hope this simulation explains wat the current state of that rail is? It may never be completed in this generation, too many unconnected dots 1 Like |

dokunbam: I think you should read up how China enslaves "poor/stupid" nations with mega projects like this. They have done mega projects like this in other under developed nations and those guys owe China BIG time. Here is a link to a YouTube video that explains exactly what China is doing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uh9xSA2gOZQ |

obataokenwa:it seems your IQ is very low. even in the US/Canada/Germany that are role model countries in human development and good governance there are poor people on the road. no one blames Merkel for every single poor man on the road. yes the country is hard but there are road side traders in those countries I mentioned too. so how is tinubu responsible for the man's poverty? stop avoiding the key question. let me type it in caps for you. HOW DID YOU CONCLUDE TINUBU IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE POVERTY OF THE RANDOM POOR MAN YOU SAW ON THE ROAD. PLS TELL US!!! |

Jaideyone: I believe you read this report about phase one of just 3km being ready by 2022. This is for a project that till date has gulped close to if not over 1bn dollars. https://www.nairaland.com/4672706/lagos-light-rail-commence-operation 1. In 2016, $200M was granted as world bank loan for this same project - https://www.businessdayonline.com/business-economy/article/200m-world-bank-loan-is-for-execution-of-lagos-light-rail-project-lai-mohammed/ 2. This 'project' has been ongoing for 10 years! - https://guardian.ng/saturday-magazine/cover/a-decade-after-lagos-rail-project-still-crawling/ 3. In 2014, $981M was borrowed from the world bank for the same project 4. The same blue line was supposed to be operation in 2016 - So 'project' is late by 2 years, even though we were told by the commissioner of transport it was 95% complete - https://www.vanguardngr.com/2018/04/lagos-blue-line-rail-95-completed-says-commissioner/ 3 Likes 1 Share |

AutoReportNG:So the bridge we've been seeing the construction is actually for rail track, wow! Isn't it risky, because it's almost over the main road where other road users ply, especially the one from Eko bridge to marina. |

obataokenwa:The point he is trying to make is that under Tinubu Lagos population was about 7-9 million but due to bad leadership over the years in many other states especially in southern Nigeria, over 20 million some said over 27 million. people leave their home states for Lagos after college nowadays like they are traveling abroad. Effort to give Lagos special status was overwhelmingly voted down by the same legislatures that voted 1% of Nations budget to Borno and its environs. With federal government allocation equivalent to Ondo, and 1/4 of Akwa ibom, hoe do you expect Lagos to effectively manage 1/6 of country's population? How do you expect infrastructure that was projected to serve between 7-9 million effectively serve 25 million people? 2 Likes |

Infrastructural works like these takes very long to complete especially where it integrates into very dense urban areas and unfortunately for Nigeria the logistics of interfacing with Federal Infrastructure. That is why projects like these should have started decade ago when the technology was available. But lack of vision and foresight amongst out past leaders has truncated development. Lagosians should bear with themselves and wait patiently for progress. It is like a middle aged man who missed school in his youth and wants to acquire a complete college education before his retirement. The urge may be there but the obstacles are massive so he has to be patient. 1 Like |

obi58:uncle you have comprehension issues!!! the argument I have with him is not about the light rail. he saw a woman with a baby on her back selling in traffic and he concluded lagosians are poor and suffering. he went on to say tinubu has enslaved them. and another man has been selling fruits in oshodi for six years and he also blamed tinubu for the man's predicament. the question I'm asking him is simple. can Lagos state employ and provide adequately for almost 25m people that left different states to come and stay in Lagos? how is tinubu responsible for the predicament of the man that has been selling fruits in oshodi for 6yrd? did tinubu steal the man's inheritance and enslave him too? 1 Like |

transformed: thank you!!! they cry tinubu is a thief but Lagos takes care of 25m people while bayelsa with small population and high allocation is not getting any kind of infrastructure!!! they are so busy blaming tinubu that they don't even criticise their own governors anymore. even when he can't "catch babe" or he proposed and the babe says no he'll still blame tinubu 2 Likes |

It's obvious you reason from the hole behind your bum. If the useless mem who are the governors in your state and others were half as smart as Bola Tinubu or Fashola, there won't be such women as the example you gave trying to make ends meet in Lagos. You should instead be grateful that Laos has at least provided an opportunity for all those who come to make something out of their lives. Left to the bastards that rules over your states, many people would have died by now obataokenwa: |

obataokenwa:ok sir. I'm sorry I took shots at you. pls how is tinubu responsible for the poverty of the man that has been selling fruits in oshodi for 6yrs? did you interact with the poor man? did tinubu steal his inheritance? did tinubu enslave him? did you bother to find out his qualifications? |

I will continue the rail with modification.. If I was them.. they should continue work.. and modify error on the system.. i have to physically see the project to tell you the error on the system they need to correct. but there are error. You dont just leave the project, you complete it. they should have had the train on land and destroy the bridge. but it is too late.. relocate away from the national theater igamu,,

obataokenwa:Lagos keeps getting worse because when your brothers finish secondary school in isi alangwa they take the next bus to Lagos with big dreams of building a mansion after 5yrs of hustling in Lagos. after a year of hustling and hunger reality gives them a hard knock on the head and they start selling gala and fruits in hold up. but you see them and conclude tinubu is responsible for their predicament. how did tinubu enslave them? how is tinubu responsible for their poverty? can LASG provide jobs for 25m people? |
