Is Fulani Herdsmen Attack Politically Motivated? by Lesgupnigeria(m): 2:46pm On Aug 06, 2018 |
My country Nigeria has been embroiled in series of clashes/attacks between farmers and the so called Fulani herdsmen. As a practising farmer and an agropreneur for about a decade who work in the rural areas,i have had my own share of bad experience one time or the other of cattle straying into farms, eating and destroying farms. Most times, we settle it and the cattle rearers are banned from the areas although the Bororo(the non-nigerian cattle rearers) can prove stubborn sometimes but we have map out strategies that have enable us to have no incidence of Fulani herdsmen on our farms for the last 7 years. As a non-partisan Nigerian with no affiliation to any political parties,i am force to ask myself why the incessant attacks, gruesome murder, on the rise in recent times? owing the the fact that we and the Fulanis have lived peacefully for decades with no issues of invasion of communities and massacre of thousands of rural dwellers. It's heartbroken that people who feeds and hold the future to the food security of hundred of millions of Nigerians are being slaughtered on a daily basis. I can only point fingers to the political class I think the political class has a lot of answers to the questions being asked by Nigerians? Why do we have these attacks on the rise in recent times? Are they using us as pawns in their political chess board game? Why are tangible steps not taken to stem the tides? These and many more questions are what need urgent actionable answers to save our country. Are those attacks politically motivated? Your opinion in the comment section. 7 Likes |

It is obvious that the killings are politically inclined... what better way for this corrupt administration to launder money if not through playing 'major' political games at the expense of the masses.. In economics, the m0st common theorem is; "an increase in demands leads to an equal increase in supply". This also shows you that an increase in the killings would result to serious demands for solutions.. And can there be any solution without money? What better way to launder money than this? Besides, how much did the bastard allocate to 'fight' the so-called men from another country? How much did they claim has been infused into the military? What of those planes they where talking about? And monies kept for the IDPs nko? Can they show you a single improvement? It is obvious that this country is so very dead.. and until useless zombiesx like the fool above me stop the stupidity and help us handle the mess, then with a sadden heart, i fear we are going nowhere... ymw 7 Likes 1 Share |

Fierce11:what I can deduce from your statement is that the politicians (APC) are the ones causing the trouble to budget more billions for security so that they can launder it for personal and business use? am I right? don't you think the opposition parties can also be doing the same to score political point and use that to castigate the ruling party and cast a picture of lack of capabilities to stem security lapses and make us to think they are the ones that can solve those security challenges so as to gain sympathy and votes from Nigerians? just thinking 12 Likes |

APC is a jihadist party. Muslims see Buhari as an islamic jihadist leader and not as a Nigerian. Nigeria is a British gift to Islamic North and so the muslims are scared whenever they hear anything like " breakup" or "referendum". To them, an infidel cannot rule Nigeria in peace. No muslim can support a christian. The only christian they can support is one that hates his people. The one that does not have the interest of his people at heart. The only non muslims who support APC are RCCG members and some Southern Christians who hate themselves and hate their people. The ones that cannot speak their language and the ones that are slaves at heart. RCCG is a confirmed Islamic church....corrupt to the core. Erastus Akingbola, former intercontinental bank head, was a crook and a pastor of the church. Mallam Usman Osunbade is a crook and a pastor of the church. Hajiya Tinubu is also a crook and a pastor of the church. Not to talk of other DSS snipers and other crooks in government. Tou can never see a southern freedom fighter who supports APC. You cannot see a proponent of resource countrol or referendum that supports APC because the party is built up for terrorist parasistes and they need Niger delta money for their islamic jihad. Yoruba muslims.all aboard. Not one yoruba muslim has the brain to oppose APC. Once I see the name, I know I can expect zero independent reasoning. Nigerian muslims are terrorised by the following names/words "FREEDOM", "REFERENDUM", "BIAFRA", NNAMDI KANU", 8 Likes 1 Share |

It both politically and religiously motivated Politically : to destabilize places where Buhari has poor chances of winning election Religiously :to dispel non-Muslims from their own lands and a purely Islamic lands headed specially by the Fulani: part of the islamisation agenda 5 Likes 2 Shares |

IslamicRebel01:But do you think politics should be played along religion line. In developed countries, people support politicians based on ideology. If I believe in good governance and you believe in it too, then I will support and vote for you if you are against abortion and I am against it as well, the you have my support and vote Politics is solely based on ideology not on religion or tribal line when are we going to stop playing politics above sentiments in africa? 5 Likes 2 Shares |

I used to think that most Herdmen clashes is political motivated until my short stay in Wukari, Taraba State and Jos. Northerners both Christians and Muslims are intolerant and they are almost the same in term of extremism . To be sincere the bad eggs amongst minorities do thief the herdmen Cows and they do receive accolade from their villages even eat it together and you know Fulani hardly forgive and later come back with full force. Sincerely I don't think we can have lasting solution for now untill Ranching is considered 5 Likes |

I dont blame Boko Haram or the Fulani Herdsmen, I blame the insensitive and spineless president at the helm of affairs while these insects run around unchecked. Boko haram and the herdsmen is like an insect compared to the federal might. I hated Johnathan for turning a blind eye and dealing with Boko Haram with kid gloves, accusing the opposition of using Boko haram to unsettle his administration. Now its Buhar's turn, we are being served the same B.S that the opposition is using the Herdsmen to unsettle his administration. Who do these fools take us for? are they telling us that if the Commander in Chief ask who is responsible for all these killings, no one can tell him the answer or no one can answer? or are the security chiefs that clueless? if they are that clueless why are they still the security chiefs? Buhari, Johnathan, they are all the same. 4 Likes 1 Share |

topeayan:I think ranching should be part of the solution but do you think the Fulani cattle rearers will want to establish ranch as they are used to moving their cattles around? Now, nobody wants to give out their land for ranching and the law against Fulani rearers seems to aggravate the killings to a new high level. |

Lesgupnigeria: Until we have a President that is answerable to the people, a president that is a servant leader, a president that care about what happens to the man on the street. It's sickening how murderers are allowed to roam free all in the name of politics, ethnicity or party affiliations. Unfortunately all the presidential candidates at the moment are not the selfless ones that will go against their sponsors just to save Nigeria. 1 Like 1 Share |
