Forget it, smile SIM won't work on it. Our touts are always in a hurry to sell without telling the buyer the disadvantages of buying Chinese version as against the global version.

NOTE: Smile and MTN 4G (LTE band 20) won't work on Chinese version phone except Mi 8

Mtn,etisalat,airtel,even ntel and am very sure the very same smile works on all chinese variant,issue of band compatibility has never bin an issue with chinese variants of xiaomi fones,we know its only glo 4g lte dat doesnt work.

So befor u start blamimg touts for doing our job,try to make your findings and be very sure..

There is no way Smile which is on LTE band 20 will work on Chinese version note 4 and note 5. Its a hardware limitation.
