Would you make the same argument against KDB if he played with Madrid? After all he plays with superstars with City, does that diminish his role and impact with the team? I think this is the problem with playing with super stars. However, the good thing is Kroos's position on the field can be evaluated independently of the team results like goals and assists. Kroos in my opinion is like Ozil, a player when things are going good makes them great, If things are going against you, don't expect Kroos to bail you out. You cant play Kroos in a position that requires pace nor that has a lot of defensive responsibility. Midfielders that have these type of specific requirement have to be exceptionally creative and decisive like the modern day David Silva to even justify their inclusion

Toni developed faster than any of Ozil and KDB and handled the bright lights better and that is why he is cerebral.Toni may not be as elegant because he not playing as high as KDB, who even finds himself in forward positions.

Toni stabilizes teams, an excellent ball holder, better than KDB technically and is the reason Modric is able to play with as much freedom. To me he is likened to the conductor of an orchestra. With all the flair that Madrid plays with, they need Toni to maintain the balance and that is not what KDB can do for a Madrid side, if anything, Madrid will suffer more if Toni is switched for KDB.

I am shocked that some guys are carried away by the glitters especially guys who have been watching football for over 2 decades.

I did not say he played forward, I said he finds himself in forward scoring/ attacking positions and that is because of the how fluid City plays in the final third. They rotate and interchange roles and that is why Aguero can provide an assist from the wings against Arsenal for Bernado to score.
