actually 2 because poch plays his 4-2-3-1 the most, I dont know for Denmark,xavi and debruyne plays in a flat 3 man midfield where fernad/busqust is the pivot,so both silva and iniesta plays exactly on the same line as KDB/xavi that is a slight variation I agree but it depends on the coach,the difference is still the quality players xavi had to play with quality midfielders, he was a luxury player that only did sidway passes.

My point is that a player can be a guaranteed starter for a title winning side, regardless of his actual level of ability.

Like you said, Benzema is booed regularly...but he's still a starter at Madrid under multiple managers.

Khedira is another multiple title winner in different teams under different managers, and you have described him as limited

So if playing regularly under multiple managers is not an accurate indicator of the level of ability, then what argument are you trying to make for Kroos?

Of course, you have to be a very good player relative to most other footballers, to play for Madrid, Bayern and Germany...and Benzema for example is a very good player - but he's not anywhere near as good as Harry Kane at Spurs or England

Similarly, trying to argue that Kroos is better than KDB simply because one plays for Madrid, and one plays for the historically smaller team in Manchester, is simply an exercise in contradiction.
